Title: Can any other monster best an healthy Big G??
Post by: Jase on April 06, 2002, 03:36:53 PM
I've posted this before on other boards and it got some cool responses(Chadzilla's seen it before)...so I Thought I'd try here too.

"Now I do not feel any other monster in the horror and SF genre can truly stand up top Godzilla. He's humongous(much bigger than
most other movie giant monsters--although his size ahs changed and varied over the years..he was always much bigger than the
original King Kong for example)..and that breath makes a deadly weapon, being mutated and deadly..he's kind of like the utlimate
weapon of destruction..no wonder many think of him as a representation of the atomic bomb. While they may achieve some victories, I really don't feel any other monster can beat the King of Monsters at the end of the day..

Some intersting battles though might include:

 The Thing(1982)
 The Blob
 The Aliens
 The Ymir
 The Cyclops
 Predator

 Wow!! That would be cool.

 Godzilla vs. Aliens
 Godzilla vs. The 1982 Thing
 Godzilla vs. The Blob

The Blob kicks everythings ass, easily.

The matchup I've always wanted to see would be Alien vs. Jaws.  It looks like Aliens can swim (at least they did in the craptacular Alien: Ressurection).  I know that aliens have acid for blood but aftrer Jaws takes that first bite, what would be left of the alien?  My bet is on Jaws, I think he'd win, but he certainly wouldn't look to pretty afterwards (because acid is burny).

Every one knows that Reptilicus could take G out anyday with a single blast of his acid vomit slime, just look at what it did to the people of Denmark! A worthy opponent indeed.....

If the Aliens attacked Godzilla--you know, dropped an egg down his gullet--imagine the result. A giant chest-burster the size of Manda, a big fat Alien Warrior with atomic-ray breath AND acidic blood? Oh ye Gods.

Godzillalien?

Oh, My God-Zilla! So long planet Earth if that happens! Ya' Know, when you think about it, dealing with the Blob, Aliens and other such Little beasties, depends on A; A mass attack (Think Legion), and B: the ability to resist Godzilla's heat ray. Blob survived reentry throught the atmosphear, but is G's ray hotter? Aliens.....Bash and burn, Baby! Fry 'em up, and roll on 'em if the "Fleas" climb abord. Even the alien blood can't match G's Healing factor. And, realy, could an alien face hugger avoid being toasted by G's reactor core? I doubt it. No, i think Reptilicus, the worlds ugliest handpuppet, would be stompCopenhagened, and pulled apart like a cheap chinese noodle. G could floss with R's skinny ass! What  i wanna see. G meets Gorgos Mom! Think of that hot monster love!

ah yes but you forgot Reptilicus has skin which cannot be torn open.  Manda kind of reminds me of Reptilicus when I think about it. I'd like to see Reptlicus vs Manda and Gappa vs Rodan, kind of similar monsters battling it out.

Flangepart, the idea of Godzilla confronting another monster only to begin mating with it--in front of all Tokyo--is so sick, you should send it off to Toho immediately.

Long time ago--maybe on the old board--I listed a number of "Godzilla vs (Classic Monster)" confrontations that would have stupid ramifications; the only one I can remember is "Draczilla," in which a vampire-bitten Big G transforms into Rodan and flits about draining hospitals and blood banks until Tokyo puts giant rings of garlic around the city. The day is saved when Dr. VanSerizawa sacrifices himself to release holy water into Tokyo Bay.

(I'm using the 100-meter "Super" Godzilla from Godzilla vs. King Ghidora to Godzilla vs. Destroyer.)

Godzilla vs. The Thing
The most interesting, I think.  If The Thing could get into Godzilla, it might be able to take him over provided it could withstand his nuclear core.

Godzilla vs. The Blob
A Blob of Godzilla-like proportions would be a little trouble but could be vaporized with G's shockwave once it tries to surround him.  (see Godzilla vs. King Ghidora).

Godzilla vs. The Aliens
Blast of radiation breath takes most of the hive out.  A shock wave takes care of the ones who swarm him.

Godzilla vs. Ymir
Squish!  Next!

Godzilla vs. The Cyclops
Squish!  Next!

Godzilla vs. Predator
This would be cool.  Godzilla vs. The Preadtors' advanced military technology!  Maybe they even have ANEB!

Actually, several monsters *have* beaten a health Godzilla.  Mothra, for instance, has an excellent track record against the Big Guy.

What would happen if someboy started crossing kaiju and anime pictures?

Godzilla vs. Goku (after kicking the asses of several lesser characters, of course)
Godzilla vs. Spacecruiser Yamato
Godzilla vs. the Overfiend
Godzilla vs. the Zentraedi (sp?)
Godzilla vs. Voltron (or any of a pile of giant robots)

and a whole slew of other interesting possibilities.

Godzilla versus Iria
Godzilla versus Ranma  (Godzilla turns into a pink bunny when splashed with cold water)

Mothra has enver beaten Godzilla single-handedly.  But, he/she/it is one of the few who probably could do it.
