Poll
Question:
Would you rather see a stand-alone feature or an anthology?
Option 1: Stand-alone
votes: 5
Option 2: Anthology
votes: 9
Okay, the B-movie pitch poll is finished. Thanks to all who voted. There are still over ten pitches that got two or more votes, but that's another poll for another day. Before we tackle that, I think it's important to make a decision. Do we want out potential movie to be an anthology of a stand-alone feature, that is, just one movie? Not nearly as much reading this time, so I hope to see lots more votes. I also wouldn't mind any input on the pros and cons of going either direction. Personally I like the anthology idea, but we need a good wrap-around tie-in for it. I have one idea I presented before. Anyway, let's get to voting. You have one week.
Hmm... I'd suggest doing a single film to start with, but keeping room for a sequel. Just like the big name studios do! :teddyr:
But seriously, probably a stand-alone would be easiest.
Anthology isnt that bad of an idea... :)
Although I do like my fake movie trailers idea more :)
So are it leaning to the anthology, but not by a staggering amount. Let's get some more votes.
more votes! and bumping this back up.
Ok, so what's next?
Not sure. I've been crazy busy lately, plus I wanted to let this thing ferment a bit and see is anybody asked about it, just as a means to see how many people are actually serious about it. It looks like the anthology is the way to go. I'm going to put up a poll of all pitches that received two or more votes and see if we can narrow it down to about 6-7. I don't think an anthology should have more than 5 short films, but if we try for 6 or 7 and a film or two drops out for whatever reason, then we're still left with enough to make a movie. I'll get that together some time today or tomorrow.
Instead of a poll with pitches... we should figure out what movie people are willing to make and then we should figure how to connect it.
