I'm looking forward to it. I even put off reading the graphic novel just so I will (hopefully) enjoy the movie more. I read the Wanted graphic novel before hand and that made the movie sting all the more. But I have my fingers crossed for this one.

Works for me. Odd...
Anyway, I can't wait to see this. It looks awesome!
I'm gonna see it when it's out in the theeaters :teddyr:
I can't wait! This film looks great
The Movie Looks A LOT Better Than Some Of The Other Superhero Movies That Have Been Coming Out Recently
Still Debating With Myself Wether Or Not To Go See It
I saw it tonight, and it was AWESOME!
I highly recommend it! Hit-Girl rules! :)
Our local censors are getting so bad with censoring films, they'll probably give it another title, something along the lines of.....
INTRODUCTION OF FOOT TO REAR END
ACQUAINTANCE OF FOOT AND TOES TO OTHER PERSON'S BUM
I saw this movie last weekend and it KICKED ARSE!!!!
Funny, shocking, gory, intense, well acted all round and just a rollicking good flick.
Do yourself a favour and go see it. You won't be disappointed. Nicholas Cage is brilliant and Chloe Moretz just steals the show. You gotta love a movie where a 10 year old girl in a superhero outfit calls the bad guys "c**ts" with a sneer on her face! :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr:
Enjoyable, some very good action scenes. I particularly liked the pretty brief bit where Big Daddy takes care of business. It's one of the most believable one-vs-many fights involving guns I've seen in a movie. I thought *most* of the changes from the comic either were out-and-out improvements (Big Daddy's characterization, for instance), or were good ideas as the original comic idea wouldn't have translated well. Probably the biggest change was making the narrative much more conventional in a lot of ways. Which is funny, calling the movie conventional.
Still, the movie didn't quite give the vibe I wanted. I can't really say exactly what is wrong, it's more like things weren't RIGHT ENOUGH for it to be truly great. But it's still fun, entertaining, and was worth the price of admission.
Right now it's an 8/10, but I'm not sure - it may drop to a 7/10 on a second viewing.

Sad to say, I was disappointed, and Moretz's character was precisely the reason why. I thought the introduction of a foul-mouthed child sadist wasn't cute, and in fact the movie never recovered its charm for me afterward.
Saw it last night. I thought it was great! a good mixture of comedy, action and some emotion mixed in there as well. A great watch!
I loved it, going again this week, I can't think of another american movie that has done hong kong style action so well.
Saw it a few weeks ago, loved it. :teddyr:
I watched this last night and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

I thought the first actual Kickass fight sequence - where he got knifed and run over by a car - reflected pretty close to what would actually happen if some nerd with no superpowers and no martial arts skills ever tried to don a goofy costume and fight crime.
The combat sequences with Hit Girl were amazing! She is one tough little woman!
The character development and the relationship between Kickass and his girlfriend were well done and made me like both characters a bit more. His two goofy nerd friends were fun to watch.
As far as dislikes . . .
I can't unabashedly admire any movie that features an 11 year old cursing like a sailor. Call me old fashioned, but I don't like hearing even grown women, much less little girls, talk like that.
And it is still kinda freaky to see "superheroes" actually KILLING the bad guys. They usually save that for the last scene, in the confrontation with the major villain - but Big Daddy and Hit Girl turned a whole bunch of goons into hamburger in this movie!
This film is violent and gory and has tons of F-bombs, so it is definitely not for the kids. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it overall.
The movie was enough of a teen film to make me feel very old, but not so much so that I could not relate to it at all.
Bought the DVD and watched it last night. VERY entertaiing!
It was ok.
I kept thinking that the movie would be much better if Kick-Ass wasn't even in it and instead focused entirely on Big Daddy and Hit-Girl.
2.5 out of 4 stars.
