Would you make use of it?
I'm not sure if a chatroom feature can be integrated on these forums or not?

Yes, I posted this in the random thought thread. i'd use it
I wouldnt. Its confusing to me, and makes me feel manic. I could see how some people might like it though.
I would be there, posting as "Hottie4U."
I would try, but I take too long to think of interesting things to say sometimes... it would kind of ruin the illusion that I'm bursting with awesomeness at all times and on demand.

Wait, that's an
illusion?!
This could only end in disaster with at least one forum member getting busted by Chris Hanson on Dateline NBC.
I'm with Paquita - I need time to think of stuff to say, otherwise I just sound like the boring person that I am.
Unlike, you know, the really exciting person you've all gotten to know. :bouncegiggle:
I wouldn't use it. We are able to converse enough as it is. It would either be totally dead, or jammed full with members spouting alot of random 3 word sentences. We can already post topics, replies, discuss things, PM and email and converse off site if people wish to do so...
I would be sexually harassing "Hottie4u". In all honesty I think it would be fun but it could get old quick.

Completely agree. I have other things to do if I'm waiting for someone to respond to a post I made. Chatrooms are over and done for me.
I've been using the chatroom feature at another forum for nearly nine years. It's always fun but we also had lots of drama and what not, just like at the forums. However, I've gotten to know people much better through chat and have been close friends with many for years. We usually meet on the weekends and shoot the breeze, catch up on things etc. Something I always look forward during the week :)
I'm torn. I agree in principle with Circus' post but also with claws'. My problem is that I have to try hard not to get 'chatty' on the boards here. (Yes I DO try! :tongueout: ) I don't think it is the place for it and I try to keep my chatty responses to a minimum. I don't always succeed. :bluesad:
Like claws, I have been using chats for 10+ years so I have developed some proficiency with typing as I speak (though I am nowhere near as adept as some!) and have come to appreciate the informality and spontaneity of the medium. I would frankly welcome an opportunity to 'chat' with many of the members on here. Since that is not likely to happen in the real world any time soon, I would be happy to settle for a chatroom. Or one of the other venues (msn and so on).
I'm with claws
Also, it is not necessary to say something superawesome, we can just talk about movies
Say i'm pro a mibbit chat
