I just got the phone call . . . my final cardiac rehab session will be Friday, April 30. I've lost 15 pounds since I started on February 1 (and a total of 23 pounds since Christmas). Oddly enough, having a heart attack ended up being a very positive event in my life. I'll probably drop dead May 1. And that would suck because I'd miss Cinco de Mayo.
Good luck and best wishes for your last session. Come Cinco de Mayo, you'll have to regain all the pounds you lost with steak fajitas, large burritos, chimichangas, tacos and the like.

They just opened a Sonic Burger down the street from my house. Don't tell my cardiologist, but I tested out the drive-thru last night . . .
Good luck

Do they have the chicken-fried steak sandwiches at your Sonic. They're tasty and fat filled. I live in Arkansas and there is a Sonic in every little podunk town around here.
Take care of yourself Burgo

I don't know about the chicken fried steak. It was my first time at Sonic and I just got a burger, fries, and onion rings. How do they make their onion rings? The batter tasted like it was coated in maple syrup or something sweet like that.

A vuvuzela is a horn usually made out of plastic ~ it makes one hell of a racket, especially if you blow the thing indoors. My advice to those coming to the Soccer World Cup: bring earplugs. :buggedout: :buggedout:

They are about to open Oregon's second Sonic. The first was far east in Ontario at the Oregon/Idaho border. The one opening in Tigard would be MUCH closer. I hear nothing but good about that place. Chicken fried steak sandwiches will kick much posterior.

I haven't tried the chicken fried steak, but the cheeseburgers are among the worst fast foot burgers I've ever had. I'll take McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's over Sonic any day.

You know you're probably not helping with comments like that, don't you?

Not from me, you don't. I think it's unremarkable, low-quality fast food.

I agree. It's just a novelty around here because they are just starting to open them in Massachusetts. My nephews went to the first one that opened in my area on the very first day and they waited 2 1/2 hours! I wouldn't wait that long in the finest restaurant! I went to the one near my house that just opened a couple of weeks ago. The drive-through line was long and slow, but it wasn't anywhere near 2 1/2 hours. And as I mentioned earlier, the burgers were very disappointing.
