Here's another DVD-R I bought from Something Weird. The quality of the print is better than I expected (except for the first few minutes which are a bit scratchy).
I love the comment about this movie in THE PSYCHOTRONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FILM: "Real low budget and enjoyed by few."
The movie starts in the 1600s with the villagers in a Dutch village in the United States capturing a woman and condemning her to death for being a witch. 300 years later, the witch returns for revenge against the descendants of the villagers. The main guy she's after is a wealthy businessman (who reminded me of Victor Buono with a moustache).
In one scene, a police detective investigating the disappearance of the businessman's son shows no sensitivity as he tells the grieving family the boy probably ran away to the East Village and got involved in drugs!
Overall, the movie is pretty slow and talky and the killings are okay, but nothing special. I can't recommend this movie, but it's slightly better than I thought it would be based on the "enjoyed by few" comment from PSYCHOTRONIC.

I love my PSYCHOTRONIC books to death, but sometimes, I really get the feeling the author may not have watched every one of the movies he comments on. I can't prove that, but still, his opinions are his opinions.

Yeah, particularly the earlier book, which I believe was written in the 'pre-VHS' era. He must of been working from memory a lot.

Michael Weldon didn't write all the reviews himself . . . he had some other reviewers helping him (their initials appear at the end of the reviews). Also, I believe you are correct about the reviewers not always watching the movies - - sometimes their comments actually say they heard or read things about the movie rather than claiming they saw it (but these types of comments are infrequent in the book).
