Title: Question on commercial use for anyone who uses blogger.com
Post by: Rev. Powell on May 20, 2010, 07:40:40 PM
A friend wants to set up a website for his commercial (very limited interest) DVD.  I advised him that he probably won't be able to generate enough sales to cover the cost of running a website.  (He may top off at a dozen sales, at $2 profit per sale).  We started talking about possible free alternatives.

Looking into blogger.com it appears that they don't have a rule against commercial content.  I find that hard to believe, but I don't see anything in the rules prohibiting it.

For those of you who use blogger, would it actually be possible for him to put up a site basically advertising his product, with a link to buy it?  Or is there something I'm missing in the fine print?

Depends what the content is.

A link to buy a product on Amazon or another site.  The content of the blog is promoting that product.
