Title: Only in America Online Quiz
Post by: dean on May 24, 2010, 07:33:00 AM

I just saw this online quiz which was posted at an Australian news site's 'Travel' Section.  I'm not sure when it was posted, but I'll assume it was a year or two ago.  I hope it was anyways...

It should be interesting for those wanting to know the real hot button issues we worry about here/wanting a laugh!  Sorry the questions are incredibly stupid, but so are the content creators at this site for the most part...

Wow, I think you may need to do an online IQ test just to see if it dropped after that incredible quiz!

That seems unpatriotic!

I also found amusing the Republican jibes at both Bush's intellect and McCain's age...  As for the answers, I think I got four or five right.

Meh.

That passport one is a little scary !  :buggedout:

I think about 90/95% of Brits over 18 have passports.
They're not just for travel but one of the most important documents you can get.

The passport question was one of two I missed.  I actually didn't think there was any way that many people had passports.  You can travel for 3,000 miles in the US and never cross an international border.  Last I heard you can also enter Canada and Mexico without a passport (although that may be changing).

The crazy thing now is that you have to have one to get back into the US.

At least we don't have to have one to travel within our own country (yet anyway).

I missed the Elvis, cocaine, and passport ones.

I'm surprised that many US citizens have passports, actually.

In some areas having a passport could be considered 'Un-American".

11 out of 14. Yay.

I have to question the Elvis one. I don't know that it's possible to consume 85,000 calories in a day. Tour de France riders eat about 10,000 calories while in training and competing, which is above average, even for Americans, because of the amount of calories they burn. 85,000? I have a hard time believing that one.

I live in Arizona and got that one wrong. I had never heard of it, so I went with Alabama.
