I got my wisdom teeth out Wednesday. All was looking good until I blew my nose this morning (the first time since I got my teeth out, so it was pretty full) and a blast of air came into my mouth. Yep, it seems I have a hole from my sinus cavity to my mouth. I'm told this is very common and should heal but I'm going back to see the dental surgeon on Tuesday (damn long weekend).
Feel better ....
Get well, soon.
My wisdom teeth extraction experience was no picnic, but not this bad. Take care and best wishes.
You have my sympathies. I had mine taken out serveral years ago. The surgery wasn't too bad, but the pain medication ended up making me sick to my stomach.
I recommend you do what I did when mine came out a couple of years ago:
Curl up on the sofa with your pain medications and the BLOOD ISLAND VACATION DVD set.
I was on my feet in no time!
Good luck Akira!
All good wishes, akira.
Best thing about my wisdom teeth removal: I lost like, 15-20 pounds. Couldn't eat anything except pudding and mashed potatoes. And anything liquid EXCEPT water felt terrible. And I got to be LEGALLY high for a week. :teddyr:
Unfortunately, I don't get to be high. All I got were heavy-duty ibuprofen.
Good luck today wif your teef!

It's not worth it. I won't go into details, but be glad that's what you got.
Best of recoveries to you. I was awake when I had mine out. My dentist was a bit of a sadist at times.

Bit odd. Not only was I knocked out, but I was asleep for a good portion of the morning. Woke up, was disoriented, and tried using my cell phone, and I couldn't even talk.

Trust me, I know. I used to abuse muscle relaxers.

I woke up during it. Not a gradual waking up, either. I was out then, suddenly, I was fully awake while the dental surgeon was digging out my tooth with a chisel.

Cripes...waking up during it is my biggest fear.
I've been there with the relaxers. Not anymore.
When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, I was awake but gassed up on nitrous oxide.
When he actually pulled the teeth out there was a loud cracking sound and I broke out giggling and couldn't stop. The dentist found that highly amusing. "Oh, you think that's funny, do you?," he said. :bouncegiggle:

My cousin just said the same thing happened to her. Not me. Completely, 100% knocked out. I remember showing up at 7AM, falling right asleep, and waking up around 10:30 and being completely disoriented and high. Fell asleep, missed a job interview (not that I could talk, but still. Did get the job though.) Doctor prescribed some kinda off medicine (can't remember now, but it sure as hell wasn't Ibuprofen.)
