I don't think the claymation is that bad, besides bad stop-motion has way more soul and entertainment value than bad CGI.
I guess it comes from my curiosity for the bad. Ugh I've seen a few clips where characters try to 'talk' to each other where the camera cuts back and forth between the two parties.
I just know I will regret this.
I've heard Winterbeast is in a class all it's own. I've heard that it's badness is so mystifying as to cause people to watch it multiple time in sheer disbelief of its existence. I understand it's like Equinox but with half the budget and shot in half the time.
So, sir, I fully expect a review, and I will hound you until you deliver.
If nothing else, owning bad movies definitely comes in handy when you have people over who've never been exposed to truly bad movies. If they agree to watch one and they never speak to you again, they weren't good friends anyway and you're better off without them.
Hey no problem with the order friend.
So another bad movie in your collection, nothing more, nothing less.
Sure it's wasted money, but you never know... Maybe you'll be able to sell it or trade it.
So I hope to find a solution and allways enjoy your bad movies.
Take care
George
I swear I have this movie a thousand times, but I've never watched it!
How many movies are called Winterbeast? and what year is this one?
This looks incredible!
I'm assuming it's the 1991 movie. That's the only one I know about.

Oh I'm thinking of "Snow Creature" and "Snow Beast".
it's great.

The single slime was due to the stop motion monsters, believe me. However, if you are a fan of plaid, it's a must see film.
1) Dave, good to see you,
2) If this is enjoyable and this bad, we may have a 4 drop film here. THis is pretty cool.
When you see it try to post a quick report please.

I just bought it too, along with "Weasels Rip My Flesh", bad movies are like drugs, after awhile you get immune to mere Sy-Fy, Full Moon, and Troma movies, and you have to get stuff that's absolutely horrible.
I want it too...I'm a sucker for claymation.

Thanks, college, yadda yadda, and I've kind of swung whatever fun money I get on robot animes or t.v. shows (The Shield mostly, great show).
I got a bad feeling about one. I mean I tend to agree with a lot of his reviews. I mean I think I'd give some higher or lower ratings to his Godzilla movies. But for the most part we agree that the Blob movies are entertaining, Trail of Billy Jack and Pigs suck harder than a black hole. Okay I disagree with his dislike of Megagurius, he was decent but their fight was made of win.
But I'll take his word for it that Winterbeast is pretty crappy, I mean he said-so himself, one slime just for the claymation and that's the only reason I bought it. Well out of genuine interest, the rest is in the other kind of intrest 'the car crash' kind.
WINTERBEAST is definitely a chore for only the most dedicated and/or masochistic bad movie viewer. The animated bits do help ease the pain a bit.
I've got a copy somewhere. Now I guess I'll have to dig it out.

That clip looks great, why do I know the rest of this movie is lame in a completely unamusing way? Comments here. Or should I say "hear"?
daveblackeye15 -
Have you received it yet? I'm still expecting your commentary once you've watched it.
Oh hey, it just came today. My brother was curious about the clip so we're both going ot watch it. I think he finishes his finals tomorrow so I think we'll watch it.
 Please let us know how it was, Dave.
Well I guess I should bring up the usual stuff: it was crappy, pretty confusing and dull, but the clay monsters were alright.
Can't forget how in one scene, when they're putting up warning signs, after a character turns away the sign is blown off. I assume that was on accident. Or when Main Character and Sunglasses are looking around old houses with no reason given for it.
Maybe the Gizzard-Dragon was my favorite, liked the Vulture-Chicken too. No I think it was Exercise-Alien-Monster-Thing.
Most exciting scene: two guys randomly start fighting in the lodge, villain shouts at them, and its randomly over.
I can't really remember much of the riffs, or if any were worth it.
*Scene change* Well, here we are in another movie.
"What the-he got a hair cut! Hey his hair grew back!" (my HILARIOUS comments on the Main Character's hair growth spurts and shortenings)
"Hello there I am Phil, I am the monster sent to kill you today." (Excercise-Alien-Monster-Thing's big scene, it looks like he does actually wave one point.)
"Wasn't there some kind of skull-monster one point? Let's go back to that movie!"
"So we've seen the beast, well beast, but where's the winter?"
Red Sweater Store Guy: So you're just going to give up!? MC: We've already lost! "I mean we're in Winterbeast for crying out loud!"
"It's not really a Winterbeast, it's more of an Autumnbeasts or Fallbeasts"
"Gee it sure was nice of the monster to let that woman put her shirt on just before he pulls her out and kills her." (concerning the monster killing the scream queen.)
"Where the hell did the skull piece come from? What about the tooth given to Red Shirt Store Guy!?"
It's not like I was planning to quit my day job or anything.
