do you play an instrument? Tell us about it.
I play the trumpet and both acoustic and electric guitar. Me and my buddy who plays keyboards currently formed a band and we're trying hard to get to a money making level. Most of the songs I can play are usually only Grateful Dead or Jimi Hendrix unfortunately.
Recently I've been interested in different musical systems and I'm looking to learn sitar or soul drum.
What about you?

I can play the Tuba, in fact i used to be able to play the indiana jones and james bond themes on it. I can't say if it sounded really good on the Tuba though.
I play drums. Can't read music, but can play 'em.
Same for guitar. I can piece together stuff, but couldn't sit there and tell you what's an "A" note, "B", etc.
For the kinda music I'm trying to do, being technically great isn't all that important.
I can rattle a mean egg shaker!!! :teddyr:
I can play a little piano and keyboard. I can sing pretty well, though.
Mainly, I sing. I also play euphonium, tuba (less well), trumpet (less well still), a little guitar, a little keyboard, a little recorder (all from sopranino to tenor), and a little drums. I don't practice enough to be good, but I have fun. I feel comfortable performing only on euphonium and guitar. But not at the same time. :tongueout:
I've played guitar since I was 12, but I've never been anywhere close to a virtuoso. I also play mandolin and Irish tenor banjo sometimes. I try to make it to local pub sessions to play Irish traditional whenever I can, but with a toddler and a 2-month-old, it's been pretty much never lately, which is making me depressed.
I play the piano pretty well, not by ear, just sight reading, and I can sing. I took up drums really briefly in high school but didn't stick with it. Oh, and I rock out hard on Guitar Hero :teddyr:
I played guitar for a few years, but the problem is, I can't tune a guitar :bluesad:.
I can play guitar and by play guitar I mean I know some chords :bouncegiggle:
In my life I have tried and failed to become competent on the following: guitar, clarinet, trumpet, keyboard, harmonica.
My best instrument was the computer. I used to have composition software that I could use to write tunes; I liked the way a lot of them turned out.

I actually used to play clarinet. Never was perfect at it but not bad. However, I haven't played in years. Sold the clarinet to get something (can't remember what off the top of my head). I also tried violin. Never got far with it.
