Hi guys,

I remember very little, but here it is:

A meteor/ or alien spaceship hits near a small town in the desert (could be in Arizona). Phones are not working, people are suffering from the abnormal heat, which continues to rise.

Everything I can recall is just a scene, where a woman tries to escape the town and burns alive inside a car after hitting a "heat wall": first tires start to burn, and her hands stuck to the plastic on the steering wheel.
There was also a man with a shotgun, who drove a pickup, and drunk a lot of bier from the portable fridge, which he carried all the time :)
