Long ago I started a thread about songs we may be ashamed to like. However, whenever we're alone and it comes on the radio (or any many cases supermarket sound system) we sing along. Since I'm too lazy to dig up the old thread (AHD will more than likely dig it up and post a link here anyhow :tongueout:) I figured I'd do a new one. My first entry;

Yes I like it, and apparently it's considered a 'not good' song, mostly by folks in their '30s or '40s. But damn it, I'm in my mid '20s and when this gets played at a bar/club, well...I like it. :tongueout:

This one is a guilty pleasure for me... I couldn't remember who the hell the artist was about a year or so ago (I must have asked on this website if anybody knew with my lame description). When I saw JIMMY CASTOR died, I remembered right away "Troglodyte" one of my favorite records... but I've never owned it.

Glad you liked it; the successors to Ghoulardi in Cleveland, Big Chuck and Hoolihan, made this skit for their Friday night show. The man in the skit, John Rinaldi, aka Little John, took over hosting the show with Big Chuck in '79, and continued until 2007.

I view this song as sort like Wacky Deli. Makes no sense; has no structure; it's all over the place with tone, music, and singing; and it is just weird. However, I just somehow like it when it is all over.
