I'm curious as to what our Canadian members think of this.  I love Netflix streaming: it's allowed me to get rid of cable television to get an on-demand service model I actually prefer for about 1/5th of the price.  No DVD rentals is disappointing, though.

I'm cool with this. At least now I have the option to rent some more obscure movies instead of having to buy or pirate them (sorry film rights owners, but people will pirate your property when you don't make it legally available. Granted, some people will pirate no matter what, but the numbers are lower when you give potential buyers and renters a legal option).

I just checked out a bit of the selection that Netflix is offering Canada. Sorry, but no dice; I want to be able to rent older, more obscure movies than I'd be able to find at Blockbuster.
