I saw a feature story on the news today about the rising popularity of fried butter. Basically, it fried dough with melted butter inside. They take the dough, put a glob of butter on it, roll it up, then drop it in the deep fryer. When it comes out it's a piece of rolled up fried dough and when you tear it open or bite into it, melted butter oozes out all over the place. (Nutritional value: zero).
I love fried dough (although I probably only have a chance to eat it about 3 or 4 times per decade). Never tried fried butter, though.
I found this on YouTube:

My initial reaction was "thats disgusting" but I probably would try it for artery popping sake.
yes and I won't eat it, I got sick after the first bite.
Why butter? I mean, I see why, but just as easy you could fry chocolate, caramel and all sorts of tasty additions.
We saw fried butter advertised at the fair this weekend. :buggedout: Right next to the fried Mars bars.
I'd try it once.
Oprah nearly had a deep fried butter orgasm, so they should be good
