here's the best scene

I recently read and enjoyed Michael Crichton's "A case of Need" and figured this would be on point because it was also a medical thriller. Despite a bit of nudity its rated PG but it should rated NTG = not that good. It's a very late in the game conspiracy movie a la Parallax view, the Agency, Clonus, etc and nothing more. It has a bigger budget than those so there are some nicer looking women (most notably Teri Welles above) and funky 70's or I guess early 80's special effects but at the end of the day its the same thing with the evil corporation making robots to make people themselves become robot like and purchase their whatver it is. Subliminal advertising yadda yadda yadda.
Welles is only in the first scene and then we are left with the just okay Susan Dey. There are an awful lot of plot holes and inconsistencies. It all really falls apart in the finale which is just silly. Up until then I had enjoyed it but in the end I'd say it probably shouldn't have been made. The ground was amply covered earlier. Between the poorly thought out plot and the not to prescient predictions ( computers replacating and replacing actors is still a long way off. It's late 70's pot head concerns about mind control via lasers would not even get a rise out of a committed 9/11 truther/ illuminati person ) it has not aged well either.
3.5/5
The plot keeps you interested the way a Mcdonalds hamburger is kind of good and the flash thing is kind of cool. for a while.
what a ridiculous death
I rather randomly found out about this movie through an odd source. The title track.

That's Sue Saad, of Sue Saad and the Next singing that song. Pretty good song.
But, some of us here might know Sue Saad better from something else:

That's her performing Guilty Pleasures, from Albert Pyun's second film Radioactive Dreams. I quite like the film, and paid way too much for the soundtrack on vinyl. Sue Saad also did the songs Radioactive Dreams, She's a Fire and When Lightning Strikes.
But I haven't seen Looker. :tongueout:
Jim H~ That song is the only thing I liked about the movie :teddyr:
I enjoy your no-nonsense reviews. thanks

DCA- thanks I realized I didn't have a plot summary but the plot was so obvious it wasn't really worth relaying.
I liked the lazer guns but the most memorable thing about the movie is that girl. She is really astonishly beautiful. There's a previous scene with her that is topless.
She looks a little like Ali Larter.
I watched this movie a lot on HBO with I was 10 or 11. I always wated a flash stunner like that.

Yes this was one of those movies that was on HBO every day. And the refrain on that song would play over and over in your head.
