A while back someone here asked about a movie that turned outt o be "the boogens".
Well, AMC's going to run that in october so they can catch it then.
AMC is also going to be running one of the best SF/horro movies ever made, "% million years to earth" or "Quatermas and the pit" as it was known in england. If you've never seen it, you ought to, it's a truly intelligent SF film with some great plot atmosphere.
THats great news, AMC has been hiting the slashers way too much more my happiness. I like to see some of the "classics" and some thing not involving hardware.
I don't know about AMC is running in October. TCM is defintely getting into the Halloween spirit with all the Hammer movies over the month and also running the Boogens, 5 Million Miles to Earth, Night of the Lepus
I can't watch movies on AMC. They carve them up beyond recognition, and half the fun of slasher movies is the gore and gratuitous fleshy bits, all of which magically disappear on AMC. :hatred:
Now I am interested. Night of the Lepus is the film that really got me into watching bad movies and is still one of my favorites. I definately want to find out what night it is on and watch it.

Fleshy bits. I like what you have done there.
I don't care for slashers, so I don't miss the gore. Heck take the gore out of a stock slasher, put these guys in say ,a gorilla suit or something rubber with tentacles and I'm right at home. Of course the Omen would be a very different series if we did that.

While I agree it does suck when slashers get slash on AMC, I'd still watch hoping to catch some classic i.e. Night of the Lepus. Oh and don't forget Walking Dead. There's also IFC which doesn't cut anything.
Oh and anyone else know about this?:
