Speaking strictly of the normal butter/salt variety here you'd get in movie theaters or at home. At least for the poll. I happen to LOVE popcorn. I worship popcorn but only prefer the traditional variety. I have a hot air popper that gets good use in my house. I prefer that method but I will eat microwave popcorn. I like the homestyle from Pop Secret. Its nice and salty.
Off topic popcorn, I really dislike any other variety of popcorn like for example Kettle Corn or Cheesy. That may be an Antichrist statement for some but I really feel its a waste of good popcorn.
What type of popcorn do you like? Do you eat it at special occasions or whenever?
I quite like it, and would eat it more often. However, I've been laying off any type of junk food, not keeping any around. Although, of all junk food type stuff, it's one I'll indulge in.
I've always liked popcorn.. can't go to the movies without it. I love the white cheddar popcorn that I get on occasion at a convenience store.
I love it at the movies. I eat a bag of the microwave stuff while I watch a Mystery Science Theater 3000; it's a weekly treat.
Looking at the titles of all Darksider's "do you like" threads, all I can think of is this song.

In answer to this question, I do like popcorn, but I don't have it too often, just because it has to be fresh popcorn, and I don't always want to be bothered making it. And I hardly ever get out to a movie theatre, where I can just buy it.
I like it, especially drowned in butter. I rarely eat it though because I can't stop myself from eating a whole bag. I also hate getting kernels stuck in my teeth and worry that they're going to get stuck in other parts of my insides on the way down thanks to my mom always warning me that could happen.

Why you, you....AntiChrist, you :tongueout:
That's OK, that means I'm a traitor too because it's always Pop Secret for me, or nothing. Although, when I was a kid we loved Jiffy Pop and loved to watch it as it cooked and the foil got biggger and bigger until it broke, and them it was time to go to town!
I love popcorn but I hate microwave popcorn. The smell makes me not want to eat it and it stinks up the whole house.
Eating Orville Redenbacher's Movie Theater butter popcorn right now. Gonna watch Phantasm with it in a little bit.
I always get it at the cinema. Hardly ever eat it anywhere else.
I like it drowned in butter. There should be a nice pool of butter in the bottom of the dish when you're done. I don't eat it very often though, probably because a half stick of butter has a lot of calories in it. My wife always seems to make it on Friday or Saturday nights when I'm drinking beer, and it doesn't go with beer.
95% of the time I go to the movie theatres. like Jack, I smother it in buttar!
I like popcorn, but don't eat it too often. I like movie theater popcorn and store bought bagged popcorn best. I don't like microwave popcorn at all. I don't like the smell, and for some reason it upsets my stomach.

If you think it doesn't go with beer, then you're not drinking enough beer!

I may just have to try your suggestion tonight
I don't partake in this often, because it really is not good for you, but I like to eat popcorn along with peanut M&M's. The combination of those two together is just outstanding.
Not particularly. I use to have it all the time, when I went to the movies, but I've started cutting back. Now when I watch a movie, I'll have a hot dog with everything on it, a box of gummi bears or sour jacks, and a bottle of bottled water.
When I'm at home, though, I have started eating it instead of potato chips, especially caramel pop corn or kettle corn or white cheddar pop corn.
But, darn! Now that I think about it, I'm going to the movies this weekend, and it's been so long since I've had movie pop corn, I think I'll actually get some.
Love popcorn.
I used to eat it all the time but haven't much lately. It's actually healthy for you when it's not drowned in butter. Seriously, the real buttery or cheesy kind is loaded with saturated and trans fats.
The best popcorn I ever had was at Sea World in Texas back in 1987. (I was 13 at the time)
That's how good it was...I still remember the taste 23 years later.
No popcorn I've had since then has come close.
