This is a companion to the highest rated movie on IMDB you've never seen (http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,131777.0.html) thread... what's the lowest rated movie you have seen? (Link to the list: http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom).
This one should be easier. For me its #2, MONSTER A GO-GO. Not counting the MST3K versions (that's cheating, I think) I've also seen #7, SKYDIVERS; #20, THE BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS; #28, THE WILD WORLD OF BATWOMAN; #52, SPACE MUTINY; #56, HOUSE OF THE DEAD; #57, EEGAH; and #69, THE HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND [AKA BODY IN THE WEB]. Looks like I've got a lot of work to do!
9. Manos
19. Track of the Moon Beast
20. Beast of Yucca Flats
43. Santa Claus
54. Incredibly Strange Creatures
57. Eegah!
69. Body in the Web
78. Mitchell
83. Santa Claud Conquers the Martians
I have all of these on DVD, except the Mexican SANTA CLAUS (#43), bnut I used to have that one on a VHS tape!
9. MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE
10. ZAAT
12. ZOMBIE NATION (Which I would rank lower than either MANOS or ZAAT)
19. TRACK OF THE MOON BEAST (I actually thought this one wasn't too bad)
20. BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS (ditto)
31. THE MAIZE (I went to high school with the director's oldest daughter, who has a brief cameo in the film)
40. THE CREEPING TERROR
57. EEGAH
64. TROLL 2
65. LASERBLAST (my copy is autographed)
83. SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS
That's not counting ones I've only seen through MST3K.
I've seen #9 Manos, The Final Sacrifice, Pod People, Pumaman, Incredibly Strange...Zombies, Troll 2, Laserblast, Leonard Part 6, Lawnmower Man 2, Mitchell, Alone in the Dark, Battlefield Earth... I must admit, I really should see some more of these awful films.
I saw the MST3K version of Manos, but only made it to the women's wrestling scene (which reminds me, I need to buy that DVD). Also saw the MST3K version of The Final Sacrifice - starring Zap Rowsdower! Same with Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, Track of the Moon Beast, Hobgoblins, Girl in Gold Boots, Prince of Space, Soultaker and The Pumaman.
The first one I've seen in its original form is #53, Space Mutiny. I've seen House of the Dead, Troll 2, Laserblast, Demon Island (aka Pinata Survival Island), Alone in the Dark, Alien from LA, Battlefield Earth and It's Pat.
Oh dear. I have seen only four on that list:
#20 The Beast of Yucca Flats
#40 The Creeping Terror
#60 Son of the Mask
#83 Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
I don't know whether to be embarrassed, ashamed or relieved.
1) I'm not even going there
2) Monster A Go-Go
3) Red Zone Cuba
4) Pocket Ninjas (I even own it! :teddyr:)
9) Manos
10) Zaat
18) Merlin's shop of Mystical Wonders
24) Pod People
28) Wild World of Batwoman
39) Prince of Space
40) The Creeping Terror
50) The Pumaman
57) Eegah!
60) Son of the Mask
62) Santa with Muscles
64) Troll 2
65) Laserblast
67) Leonard Part 6
77) Epic movie
78) Mitchell
79) Babies Genius
80) Cool As Ice
89) .com for Murder
91) Battlefield Earth
97) Meet the Spartans
damn, It's a big list (25), I'm surprised that my brain isn't mushed. Also, with the exception of Zaat, I've seen the Mst3ked movies both Mst3ked and non Mst3ked. :bouncegiggle:
MST3K'ed:
7. Sky Divers
9. Manos
11. Final Sacrifice
24. Pod People
29. Hobgoblins
40. Creeping Terror
41. Blade Master
43. Santa Claus
78. Mitchell
Non-MST3K'ed:
65. Laserblast
67. Leonard Part 6
83. Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
100. Bolero
Zaat was kind of funky
edit: the Tony Blair Witch project hahaha.
#2 - Monster a-Go Go
#10- Zaat
#11- The Final Sacrifice
#19- Track of the Moon Beast
#20- Beast of Yucca Flats (I love this one!)
#28- The Wild Wild World of Batwoman
#40- The Creeping Terror (got to see this to believe it)
#53- Space Mutiny (must see bad movie!)
# 54- The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies
# 57- Eegah (Have a soft spot for this one too)
# 65- Laserblast
# 72- 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain
# 83- Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (watch this several times now usually around Christmas)
# 87- Alien From L.A.
# 98- Kazaam
I've seen bits and pieces of several more listed (Battlefield Earth, Manos, Mitchell) but not the complete films...
From Justin to Kelly
House of the Dead
Troll 2
Laserblast
Meet the Spartans
4. Pocket Ninjas has to be the lowest.
Good to know I wasn't the only one who bought a copy of it...
#20 The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)
Zaat
The Beast of Yucca Flats
The Pod People
Hobgoblins
Santa Claus (1959)
Eegah
Troll 2
Leonard Part 6
Demon Island (under the title Pinata: Survival Island)
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
It's Pat
The rest looked awful enough that I never even thought to watch them.
Sadly, I've seen the #1 movie on the list. Also, I'm proud to say I've never seen, nor will ever see, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie or Meet the Spartans:
Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2
Monster a-Go Go
The Beast of Yucca Flats (partially)
Zodiac Killer
Hobgoblins (partially)
The Blade Master
The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?
Leonard Part 6
Baby Geniuses
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Kazaam
9. Manos - I own it on DVD
54.The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? - Also on DVD
56. House of the Dead
98. Kazaam
Crap, I haven't seen enough! I think it's safe to say that a lot of those don't belong on the bottom.
OK here goes:
#9 Manos Hands of Fate
#19 Beast of Yucca Flats
#40 Creeping Terror
#65 Laserblast
#77 Epic movie
#78 Mitchell (regular & MST3K)
#83 Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
#87 Alien from L.A.
#100 Bolero

I saw this one on TCM. Maybe because it was late night/early morning and I was still a little buzzed, I ended up enjoying this.

I've watched Hip Hop Locos (more than once), and that's got a 1.0 on IMDb :P

Don't worry, you had me at SIR.
Non MST3K, my highest is 57. EEGAH
Looking at the dates on many of those on the list, it is clear which 'generation' of movie watcher votes on IMDB.
62)Santa with Muscles (Liked it)
67) Chairman of the Board (Liked it)

You sir, you broke my record! virtual KARMA!
Well here is what I have seen on that list:
Manos: Hands of Fate (Had this on DVD but it got damaged in a basement flooding last year so I threw it away)
Troll 2: I had to see this as part of a bad movie pledge I made.
Leonard Part 6: One of the first bad movies on the IMDB Bottom 100 that I watched. It was bad, but funny bad.
Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace: I liked the first one and read about how bad this was, and had to see how bad it really was.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians: Saw this twice first he MST3K version, then the actual version with my dad. Own this on DVD and now is part of my our family's holiday traditions every year.
Battlefield Earth: read some of the book (I stopped reading during the battle to take Earth from the Psychlos I felt my brain melting, then listened to the Audio Book for the rest of it). I just had to see how bad this film, and boy was it terrible.
It's Pat - I saw some of the this on TV when I was little, and I well I rented it on Netflix, and boy was I not happy when this was over.
IMDB has a list of highest and lowest rated films.
Highest: Shawshank Redemption
Lowest: Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies

12. ZOMBIE NATION (Which I would rank lower than either MANOS or ZAAT)
I believe I requested that you see that one a while back if memory serves. He, he! Now I don't have to watch and review that! :tongueout:
Onto that list: I've seen Manos, Zaat, The Beast of Yucca Flats, The Pod People, Hobogoblins, The Creeping Terror, Santa Claus, The Pumaman, Santa Claus: Conquoers the Martians, Space Munity, Laserblast, Boggy Creak II, Merlin, Night Train, Tangents (That's not even bad enough for the list), and Mitchell. Though I've only seen the MST3K verisons of them.
For the stuff I've seen uncut however: Troll 2, Son of the Mask, Disaster Movie, Pocket Ninjas, and Monster A-Go Go. I own Manos, Batwomen, and Super Babies 2 however, but I haven't seen them yet. You'll know when I'll watch Super Babies 2 when you hear the agonish cries of a poor soul from a far distance.
Looking at this list, I do not think Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders is bad enough for the number 18 spot or Tangents & Space Munity being on the list at all. They are bad, but not bad enough (Space Munity is so bad it's hilarious). The only reason they are here is because they are so popular with MST3K. The same doesn't hold true with Zaat and Monster A-Go Go though, those are grade Z crap.
Oh yeah, this movie list is seriously lacking one of those animated Titanic movies.

sorry, it's been done (minus the reviewing part) :tongueout:
Wow, I feel like a slacker here. Other than the MST3K'd ones, I've only seen Baby Geniuses, Leonard Part 6 and Daddy Day Camp (I used to work in a movie rental store and we were only permitted to run PG rated films on the overhead, so I've witnessed a TON of terrible kids' movies). I've seen bits and pieces of Battlefield Earth, Gigli, Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead.
I'm surprised BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER and MAX PAYNE didn't make the list. Those were two of the worst I've sat through.
I'm so deprived in my movie watching. I've seen only 4 of the "Worst" 100.
72. 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain.
83. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
92. It's Pat
98. Kazaam
And I don't think I can make any general judgments, having seen only 4 of the 100, but I did like "3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain," especially the villains which were played by Loni Anderson and Jim Varney, and which was something of a role change for both of them.

Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2
I feel for you man, I really do.
I've seen...
Plan 9 From Outer SpaceLeonard Part 6 (It's bad enough that I own two copies of this festering turd, must save hoard all the badness.)
Manos The Hands Of Fate3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (I remember liking this one!)
Cool as IceSoultaker (I've seen the MST3K version and own an actual VHS copy!)
Manos
Alone in the Dark
Eegah
House of the Dead
The Beast of Yucca Flats
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Pretty standard I guess. Mill Creek seems to be a reliable way to build a watch list for these.
I just saw Monster a Go Go. Wow it was bad. Manos is clearly a superior film- at least Torgo was interesting and it was less boring.
I now own this one un-MST3K'd! REPRESENT! :teddyr:

Manos is number two, Monster A-Go Go is 3 and Pocket Ninjas is 8?! Oh hell no! Manos is not worst than Monster A-Go Go because Torgo is at least entertaining and the premise is kind of interesting (A small trapped in the middle nowhere with an evil cult that wants to kill/bring them into the fold). MAGG has nothing going for it and Pocket Ninjas is far more boring, annoying, and worse than Manos, especially when you consider how recent it is.
Not only do I own CYBER-C.H.I.C - I own ROBO-C.H.I.C. as well.
This has been consistently rated as one of the worst/lowest-rated films of all Time . . .
