Question:
This is a shameless "latch-on" to all the "do you like?" food discussions going on in here. Anyway, when you're in the mood to just cram some unhealthy (yet tasty) food down your gullet, which of these do you prefer?
Option 1: Mexican (tacos, burritos, refried beans, rice . . . )
Option 2: Burgers (McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Sonic, Five Guys, Fuddrucker's, Jack in the Box . . . )
Option 3: Chinese (chicken fingers, fried rice, spare ribs, egg foo yong, chow mein . . . )
Option 4: Fried chicken (KFC, Popeye's . . . )
Option 5: Pizza (chains or local independents)
Option 6: Subs / Grinders / Hoagies / Hero Sandwiches
Option 7: Indian (curry, rice . . . )
Option 8: Fried fish (clams, shrimp, scallops . . . )
Option 9: Burgo, these choices SUCK . . . I prefer something else!
Fire away . . .
Tough call...
A couple of 'em only come in one size, at least around these parts.
Kinda depends on whether it's on my tab, or if it's free.
I'm particularly partial to Fried chicken although burgers, pizza and fried fish are pretty good too.
I'm a Mexican, Asian, fried fish, boiled fish type of guy, but I'm more of a Mexican guy. :tongueout:
I really can't pick just one. If I really like what's in front of me (and there are many super-salty, high-cholestorol foods) it is gone like last week. Gulp!
Foods of many different ethnicities have dissapeared down my digestive tract in an alarming fashion (getting comments from several stunned waitresses). Favorite dishes of mine are pork noodles, subgum chow mein, arroz con pollo, carne asada, calzone, pizza, and for American dishes, the usual burgers and fries, and chicken fried steak and philly sandwiches. Damn it, too bad I just ate!
Frog legs. :teddyr: I dont get them that often because they are expensive but when I do.. oh my, I will eat them till I get sick.
In order to consider it "Pigging Out", my burger's gotta have fries with it, the hogie must be 10"+, not 6", and must include soup, which requires a few crackers, & so on & so forth...
And then, there are those cocktail weenies & horse doovers; not enough on the whole platter to actually sustain a person, but somebody's always gonna take issue with how many you trips you make to the buffet table.
In my experience, there just isn't such a thing as eating a small amount of Mexican food. It's either man up and go all the way or eat something else.
I'm going with the burger option. I'm always up for trying a new burger. My favs include Red Robin, Johnny Rockets and BK for popular chains. Hook me up with some salty fries and I'm one happy DS.
Second I'll go for Mexican. Favorite well know chain is On The Border. Man they hook your @ss up there. Never ending giant tortilla chips, great meal platters and stuffed taco/empenadas/burritos. I love spice in food! I'm also a sucker for Taco Bell's double deckers.
Thirdly I love Chinese though the wife has abandoned me in this realm. :bluesad: I love chicken fingers with a side of the hot mustard that burns my eyes out. Chicken fried rice is a must with the option beef on a stick.
Others include a good meatball grinder amongst steak and cheese subs. Pizza I really have become a snob on. I've had too much of the same old that taste like ketchup on dough. I like brick oven pizza and a finely made greek pizza.
A local place has awesome boneless hot wings which is another weakness of mine accompanied by thick bleu cheese. But I find places who make boneless hot wings the right way are few and far between in my area.
I have the worst eating habits ever. I live off of coffee and camels and sometimes go two or three days without eating. However, when I pig out I usually want Italian food. Give me some lasagna or homemade spaghetti or ravioli and I'm a happy girl...
Hoagie's. Best of them all. Best food ever.

I love them but they are tough to find in Boston. When I go to Brazil, I get to eat the entire frog. Deeeeeeelicious!
I chose pizza, but really I like garlic fingers. Just bread, cheese and garlic, mmm mmmm. I can eat a medium to myself.
Mexican. Eastern food can be pricey for 'pig out' portions.
