I'm looking for a witch movie from the 60s-70s. My dad saw this movie as a kid as he said that it is still to this day the scariest movie he ever saw. The only scene he can remember from it is a part in the movie when they are killing a "witch" and they lay her down and put a slab of wood over her and stack huge rocks on top of it until she squishes. Please help!!
I don't remember if that exact "squishing" scene was in it, but when I think scary witch movie from the 1960s I immediately think BLACK SUNDAY. Couldn't hurt to give it a watch anyway, it's a classic.

Witchfinder General (1968) with Vincent Price had a scene such as you described: the victim was put under a slab of wood and rocks were piled on. Pretty grim.
Crowhaven Farm also had a similar scene to that but I agree with Newt on Witchfinder General.
I watched the Witchfinder General and the scene was not in there. I'll try Black Sunday now.
There is a scene in CROWHAVEN FARM in which Hope Lange has rocks and boards placed on her.
Omgosh, Thank you!!!
