BUT..I simply would not be true to myself if I didn't go with

Heh, heh, a lightnig sword. Please.  When I want to fight ancient deities I make sure I have the Borntreger Claymore equiped.  For extra damage, I'll use some spells from the Tome of  the Final Solstice.  You'll also notice I'm only wearing a coat  of Gofrim Leather.  When in the later levels I have the armor of the Bone Gladiators. (Which any noob knows is made by enchanting the carapace of a swamp dragon) .

What I have on and equipped is fine for some quick smitting and  confronting the Bile beast.  

Now off the Feastshop Mountains to do some level grinding.
