It just hit totality here in East Texas about ten minutes ago (1:40 AM), I had stayed up for it and got my wife and kids out of bed so we could go outside and appreciate this marvel of nature together. A full lunar eclipse on the Winter Solstice; the last time this happened Henry VIII was King of England, and still married to Katherine of Aragon.
A good reminder of how brief our mortal lives are.
Too cold & overcast to enjoy it earlier, here in Central VA, but it just now cleared up, & the red moon moved around to my window.
Now, I can't st thinking of "The Seventh Sign" & "Warlock 2" :tongueout:
I saw one of those a few years ago - I remember standing out in the back yard when it was 20 below. Worth it though, that blood red moon was pretty awesome.
