So it seems our country is underwater at the moment. It's been raining nonstop for the last three days and its fairly wet.
BUT that's nothing compared with other parts of the country which are currently underwater. Most of the state of Queensland is under some severe flooding.
The perfect example of this is the following video, which shows how quickly some of the flash flooding has been, in this case sweeping away cars outside of an office block.
Sadly at least ten people have died in flash flooding so far, and billions of dollars of damage has been done.

Crazy stuff.
I trust that neither you nor your family are anywhere near this, Dean. Keep warm and keep safe.
Nah, I'm a good 1500kms away, so we're all sweet. So far summer has been very wet, and we haven't copped anywhere near the amount the north has gotten the last year.
Still nuts though... Looks like the city of Brisbane might be hit next, which is crazy to have a major capital city under flood threat.
Incidentally just heard an interesting fact as flooding continues in QLD: the coverage of flooding from Katrina: 230,000 square kms, flood damage in Queensland at the moment: 1,000,000 square kms. Kerazy!
I saw a report a few days ago that said it was the area of Germany and France combined. Wow.
