Since the subject of food is one I enjoy, let me put this to you: If somehow all the badmovies.org'ers were able to get together and have one massive cookout/bbq/potluck/whatever, where everyone needed to bring something, is there a specific dish you would make and bring to the table? If your cullinary skills are lacking just a tad, you can buy something and bring it (it doesn't necessarily have to be a dish, you could bring chips or soda if you like). Or maybe just whip up some appetizers.
All right folks; dazzle me! Whatcha got?
I'd probably opt out with something really cheap and easy to make. :teddyr: I actually make a decent punch so put me down for that. Maybe a batch of chocolate chip cookies if I had extra money to blow on ingredients.
Good one DS, I like punch. Just don't over-spike it, please. :teddyr:
My specialty will be scalloped potatoes and chicken/cheese enchiladas with a decent kick (cayenne pepper) to them.
Maybe I should bring napkins. I think many of us here may be slobs. :teddyr:
My bacon-ham-potato-cheddar cheese casserole for the dish, and moonshine from the first legal moonshine distillery in Tennesse for those that drink alcohol, Coke for those that do not :twirl:
I would make cupcakes. That look like boobs. Special for Menard.
And you wonder why we all love you, Paquita?
I would bring grilled pork spare ribs and a big ol' pot of my 4 alarm Texas chili - like the one I made for supper tonight!
I usually go back to my eastern European background in times like this.
I would bring a home made dish (made by me of course) called pita.
I'ts a delectable dish of pastry layered with a mixture of cottage cheese, beaten eggs and sour cream then baked to perfection. The closest I can describe it like a cheese strudel.
It's delicious and is right up my alley because I"m vegetarian. You serve it hot and it just melts in your mouth.
Enjoy!
Oreo Cream Cheese pie
I would use my 7-11 connections to get lots of soda, frozen drinks (Slurpees), and all the expired goodies I could get my hands on!
I actually have expired personal bottles of egg nog in my fridge right now.
Buffalo-Chicken Macaroni and Cheese. I started making this delicious dish last year, and I've made it so many times ever since I could prepare it blindfolded.
I literally have to restrain myself not to cook it every day :bluesad:
Uh...
Hot Dogs & cheese... Maybe I'd cook a few, just in case... Maybe make my Cheese Dogs
An extra pack of cigarettes & Stonewall snuff
crackers
orange juice
Or maybe just grab some swiss cake rolls & day-ol' doughnuts from the snack aisle....
(In Bela voice)-Blood sausage!
Really-Id bring a slow cooked pot roast with potatoes and little carrots.
And booze of course. But no wine. I never drink....wine. :drink:
Pizza from these guys www.debonairs.co.za (http://www.debonairs.co.za) with just a fine sprinkling of undies residue. :tongueout:
My wife and I always discuss this sort of stuff for two or three days and then we end up just picking up a seafood dish from the supermarket :teddyr: We could make my Grandma's cheesecake recipe, that's some awesome ambrosia. Made if for a potluck once and even after it was gone, people were collecting the crumbs off the empty dish.

Oh, thank god that didn't happen lol :bouncegiggle:
Since RC has the roast covered, I'd bring my signature dish: applescotch pie.
I make a really good baked ziti - I'll bring that along with some garlic bread and a salad with lots of veggies.
I will also bring a BIG bottle of Tums. Considering all these different food combinations we are all contributing ... :buggedout:
I make a great marinaded terriyaki steak. I made some for my parents last night. I'm a novice cook but they said that my terriyaki steak was insanely good.

 You really must stop obsessing on Elvira's dancing...
Brrrrraaaainnnns,
And a cheese plate.

I go a great lasagna.
If not that, I can bring paper products and ice. :teddyr:
Some sort of pork. Grilled pork steaks or chops or slow roasted pork loin with apple glaze.
Great suggestions, everybody!
I like to imagine all the badmovies.org'ers getting together at some beach or park (though that's impossible, as there's way too many of us), where some of us are chatting about bad movies or telling dirty jokes over a few beers, some of us are playing volleyball, some of us are tanning (maybe not during THIS time of year), some are playing music and singing, some of us are making second or third trips to the food tables, some of us are jamming to some old song on our guitars, etc. Just all of us hanging out and having a good time.

I like the idea of a potluck get-together but, no tanning on first dates :bluesad:
Let's see, I'll give everyone an XL King cake from Randazzo (https://www.randazzokingcake.com/) and from Haydel (http://www.haydelbakery.com/). I would also make some of my scone cookies, A HUGE thing of Baked Mac& Cheese, some boiled Crawfish/crabs/shrimp, and may be some oysters, for those who likes them.
....Now I'm HUNGRY! :tongueout:
I'm allergic to shrimp so I would have to pass on that :bluesad:

don't worry man, You can get a bigger scoop of Mac and Cheese from me! :teddyr:
My Chili and Special "The Works "Salad are legendary. However, like most food days here at work, I'd probably cheap out and just bring a 2 liter of soda.(Yup I'm THAT guy).

Soda definitely works for me. I hardly ever drink alcohol, so soda pop is my drink of choice.
I'd attempt to make a cake recreating the cover from "Army of Darkness." I probably wouldn't be all that successful, but hey. It's cake, and it's the thought that counts.

Thought is unnecessary for cake. I think when all things end I want a cake no fancy anything just frosty doughy goodness.
