I am completely jacked about this show's premier next Friday. The trailers look awesome. For those who don't know, they are doing a prequel to Season 1 at the House Of Batiatus.

I had heard. I enjoyed the first season. Will have to check this out. I'm hoping for much more carnage though.
I'm on the fence about this one, a little hard to get excited about it without Andy Whitfield in the title role but if they're going to focus on the John Hannah & Lucy Lawless characters, I could definitely go for that. I'm sure I'll at least hulu it when it becomes available.
Well, DirecTV gave a free preview of the first episode of the new season tonight.
WOW! Even without the title character, this is testosterone TV at its finest!
If you like copious amounts of blood, you'll like it.
If you like cheesy CGI decapitations, you'll like it.
If you like Lucy Lawless, you'll like it.
If you like seeing Batiatus get the snot beat out of him, you'll like it.
If you like seeing Lucy Lawless naked, you'll REALLY like it.
Since the star of the first season is back in cancer rehab, the storyline traces the rise of the House of Batiatus in Capua.
Crixus the Gaul is back.
Nearly all of Season One's gladiator cast is back.
In short, if you liked season one, you are gonna LOVE Season Two!
(Indy I merged this topic together with mine that was started earlier this week.)
I watched it last night and it was great! It kept the tone of the original series and I love how they led into it. I heard this is only going to be in six parts but I hope I'm wrong.
Thanks for merging. I had forgotten there was already a thread for this one.

No prob.
I also wonder where Quintus and Solonius go wrong in their relationship. Also, why Crixus disables Archer in their arena. I can't wait to see how these things unravel.
It's available on Netflix instant streaming.
Just to be clear, this isn't actually considered season 2. It's a bridge between season 1 and 2 created to fill the time gap caused by the star being in treatment. They've actually recently recast Spartacus, and are now shooting season 2.

Naked Lucy Lawless? I...I think I'm gonna cry..
I'm good with the season so far. Although it isn't as thrilling as the season 1 it doesn't let down. I find myself enjoying the gladiator battles just as much as the first season if not more.

Naked Lucy Lawless in a lesbian scene/threesome...that will probably increase the water works.
