A school in Texas has a football field that's red. Wow, that's certainly different.
Anyway, I'm not really a big football fan (that's my older brothers gig) but visually, it looks rather interesting. Dunno how well it'll play out though. I'm told red tends to increase agression in people, so it might make matches more... interesting to say the least.

What I wonder though, is what exactly they used to make the grass green. I mean, I'm assuming it's some type of dye, but will it come off onto players uniforms (especially if you're wearing white?)
That reminds me of a 'banned' cheer we had for our high school football team:
"Blood makes the grass grow! Kill Cats Kill!"
On that thought: another banned cheer, used when the other team had an injured player on the field:
"Knock 'em to the ground! Grind 'em in the dirt!
Git up, homeboy! You ain't hurt!"
Fields have been painted green for years, haven't they? I imagine the red is a psych tactic...or is it really to hide the blood?
Break their arm, crush their knee
make them hurt down where they pee!
And my favorite:
U G L Y
You ain't got no alibi
You UGLY!
Ain't nuttin' but UGLY!
M A M A
That's the way you got that way
Your MAMA!
Your UGLY MAMA!
<repeat ad nausem>

Boise State's football field has been blue for a while. Looks really strange on TV.

Oregon just unveiled the odd-looking "deep in the woods" basketball court this season. Nearly everyone hates it.
I understand Notre Dame has a green field because of the Irish thing.
And my favorite football cheer from a barber's college.
Cut 'em on the chin
Cut 'em on the jaw
Cut 'em up
Leave 'em there
Rah! Rah! Rah!
