Last pizza I had was six weeks ago.
I actually don't eat pizza that often but whenever I'm downtown I grab a Turkish pizza or a sardine-ajvar pizza at my favorite local food joint.
I'd say I have pizza about every 5-6 weeks. How about you?
I'd say once every month now, we've cut back a lot. I am a heathen who doesn't really like pizza. I blame that mainly on my wife who always insisted we go out for pizza in our early years. (the things you do to make women happy) I've in taken my share of awful pizza throughout the years. The worst one HAS to be Domino's. Why people eat that sh!t on a shingle smeared with ketchup sauce is beyond me. I tried their "new and improved" pizza and it still tasted like @ss. I always chuckle when the new commercials come on where they claim their pizza is much better.
Because of that if I do eat it it has to be a craving and it has to be a pizza I REALLY like. I really like brick oven pizza, Bertuccis is the best big name place around here. I also like Papa Ginos Rustic pizza on cravings. Then theres the small mom n pop place back home that serves Greek pizza. I get that as comfort food every couple months when I visit.
Once a week we get a couple pizzas, one for the wife and me and one for the kids. We go to Pizza Hut. They don't have the greatest pizza in the world but it's pretty good. We usually get a stuffed crust or pan pizza with double cheese, sausage and pepperoni, and the kids have whatever they want. And of course breadsticks or cheese sticks with marinara sauce. We also try their specialty pizzas, like last time we had a big rectangular one with a bunch of marinara sauce to dip it in.
There's also a mom & pop place in town, but you have to drive all the way through town to get there, which takes an extra 20 minutes. Pizza Hut is right along the highway. We pretty much quit going to the mom and pop place after we got a meat lovers pizza from them and it was downright gross.
It probably averages out to once a month right now. Used to be once a week but then we tightened up the budget and we get takeout less often.
Ina moment of madness, I made pizza from scratch last week (crust and all): major tactical error. It was a hit - the kids liked it and now they know we can make them.
at least once a week. For some reason my town has an insane selection of ultra authentic brick oven pizza places and they are all really good. We have no fried chicken place but ten + pizza places.
Forgot to mention toppings. I prefer sausage, meatball and peperoni. Occasionally I'll dig on mushrooms but thats about it. Major dislike goes towards onions and peppers. I actually quite like onions but for me pizza is not the place for them.
Once every few weeks or so. I'd like to do more, bt it never happens
Maybe once or twice a month at a local place called Brother Bruno's. It's good depending on who is making it. Just cheeze and sometimes mushrooms.
Hate Dominos and Pizza Hut.
Once or twice a month, maybe. Usually frozen, to save money. Since I bought a house I gotta watch the finances a little more closely.
About 1 or 2 times a month. I like it in a way but like a good crust and it is so hard to find that in most places here. Toppings are usually basic or ham and pineapple.
Several times a week, lately.
When I go to Louisville games, it's always around mealtimes, and I almost always get a Papa John's personal pepperoni pizza, because it's really the only decent food in the arena that's not horribly overpriced.
I also eat California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas as much as two times a week, because they're very tasty and easy to prepare. My favorite is garlic chicken, but I like to mix them up. Actually my favorite is Thai chicken (with spicy peanut sauce!), but they don't sell that one locally. Too exotic for us, I guess.
Twice a month, from these people: www.debonairs.co.za (http://www.debonairs.co.za) :teddyr:
Real actual pizza place pizza, once in a blue moon or whenever one of my co-workers gets one and gives me the leftovers. Little dinky Totino's ones you stick in the microwave- bout 10 a month :twirl:
Quite often.
More often than I should. I'd say 3 or so times per month on average.
We used to do pizza about once a week. Now it's once every two or three weeks. The local pizza place is kind of pricey, so two mediums and pop end up costing us about $50.
I had been making homemade pizza every couple of weeks as well, but it's been a few months since I last made it.
You mean order out or store bought? I have frozen pizza from Aldi's once a week (I call it Pizza Night). It's been a long standing tradition with me. As for getting other kinds like Dominoes or something, usually once every other week, maybe a little less. Don't always have that much extra money to go around for such things.

Totino's are surprisingly awesome. Love to go combination and buy extra mozarella.
Oh, forgot about Totinos!
Speaking of which, how do you guys eat them? Do you cook them in the oven until they're crispy and eat them by the slice, or do you pop them in the microwave for awhile and then roll them up like a Taco?
How often do I eat pizza? Too many times.....
I LOATHE pizza. Or anything with cheese, really.
Which boggles many people's minds, as I'm Italian and I won't eat Pizza, lasagna, etc.

You're Italian and pizza and lasagna
aren't on your list of fave foods? I'll say that's mind-boggling... :buggedout:
It's an on-again/off-again relationship with me. I've gone long periods without touching pizza, followed by love-affairs with the stuff when I consume it frequently for a month or two, then I get burnt out and go back through the cycle again.

I'm more a Burger and a Beer kinda guy. No grilled cheese for me, if there's cheese on a salad, send it back. Hoagie's, no cheese. I live in Philly and only get a steak sandwich, not the cheesesteak. Same thing, just no cheese.

Pat's. Of the two, Pat's.

The last time I had a burger with cheese, it put me off cheeseburgers for life: the cheese looked and tasted like melted plastic. :buggedout: :buggedout:

Reminds me of a place I like to eat lunch sometimes. The burgers are usually good, but every once in a while I get one that's been thrown on the grill right after somebody's liver and onions. Surprising how much liver taste a burger can pick up that way.

Now, I'm hurt. Ahh well, to answer your question. Baked in the oven. I can't stand microwaves. Too soggy and moist and bluh. I like crunch and crispness.

Karma on that! The only time I've ever microwaved pizza was on a couple of occasions where I was desperate to eat something and pizza was all there was to eat and the micro was the only heating option available. Yuck.
About once or twice a month now. My friends and I all chip in to order some food when we get together for our longer gaming nights (unless we opt for a pot luck, someone decides to cook for us all, or we meet a bit later so that we all eat whatever we want beforehand).

Thanks, we must spread the oven glory around the world.
I've used the microwave to kick off the cooking before, but only with a frozen pizza. Nuke it a bit while the oven heats up, just to get the cheese melting. It's not a good method, though, because microwaves heat so unevenly, but the pizzas we had at the time tended to burn on the bottom before the toppings were cooked, if you followed the instructions, and I didn't always have time to cook them at a lower temperature.
Frozen pizzas have improved a lot. The ones I get now cook very quickly and very evenly in the oven, without any monkeying around with temperature or cooking time. I usually get Delissio (Canadian diGiorno) rising crust, or McCain's frozen pizza. Dr. Oetker isn't bad either, depending on the toppings I want.
I just love pizza - but it doesn't love me back :bluesad:
It's the combination of cheese and refined flour crust that sends my tummy into a tizz, so I tend not to eat it any more. The last time I had pizza was about a year ago and I loved it immensely but I had a stomach ache for about 2 days afterwards.
So pizza is totally off the menu now.

Certian pizza makes me sick too, I've even barfed a couple times, but I love it so it's worth it. I usually have it once a month or once every other month. I would have it once a week if it didn't interfere with my 1200 calorie diet. I can't just have one or two pieces, I always have about half and that's because that's when I cut myself off. I f'n love pizza.
