I remember seeing some episodes of this on TV a while back. It was basically a remake of the very first 1966 series,
Ultraman Hayata." They had the same sound FX as the old Tsuburaya-Toho films (as per the connection Tsuburaya Sr. and Jr. had with Toho respectively) and overall it was a nice upgrade from the original show, with a deep homage to the original. I liked it.
