As a segue on the best movies of the 2000 decade, what do you thik were some of the best TV shows of the same period.
For me, battlestar galactica's reboot and caprica were the best I remember.
The Walking Dead and Battlestar Galactica for me.
the Ultimate Fighter.
I loved The Shield, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Rome. I'm also a huge NCIS fan.
HBO's ROME, Showtime's THE TUDORS, and on network TV, NCIS. All great viewing.
Doctor Who !
1000 Ways To Die
Dealiest Warrior
Rome
Deadwood
Hell's Kitchen
Sopranos (at least until halfway)
"Arrested Development"
"The Office" (US & Brit)
"Firefly" (2002) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303461/)
"Carrier" (2008) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1224387/)
Doctor Who
Firefly
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
Glee..... *dodges shoes being thrown*
:teddyr:
For me, my favorite is without a doubt "The League of Gentlemen". Granted, technically the first season started in 1999, but the majority of it was in the early 2000's.
Other favorites:
The Office (both versions)
Look Around You (Thanks ants. Thants.)
Breaking Bad (still going strong)
The Walking Dead (go AMC!)
South Park (probably as good as it ever has been)
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Six Feet Under
Carnivale
Psychoville
Green Wing
Peep Show
and something that I can't get enough of: all of the BAD auditioners from most of the reality competition shows (American Idol, America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, Dance-type shows, etc...). I only watch the early audition rounds for the bad ones, and once the good performers take over, I switch off!
Man Vs. Food- I know, I know, it's stupid, but at least it's interesting.
Monster Jam on SPEED- one of the two good shows on SPEED
Pass Time- the other good show on SPEED, it's also interesting to see the cars on there
Mythbusters- no explanation needed
Dirty Jobs- same as Mythbusters
"Dexter"
Probably the best show for me to come out of that decade was Psych, a funny comedy and crime show on USA. Strange, why are all the creative and better writers working for that channel?
Cold Case
Doctor Who
The Big Bang Theory
Torchwood
DeGrassi
CSI: Las Vegas
Penn & Teller: Bulls**t
Curb your Enthusiasm
Nip/Tuck
South Park
Family guy
...and anything else that is either twisted or offensive
Cartoons:
Justice League/Justice League Unlimited
Teen Titans
X-Men: Evolution
Wolverine and the X-Men
Documentary Style Shows:
Most Evil
Crime Stories
Cold Case Files
Ancients Behaving Badly
The Nostradamus Effect (Guilty Pleasure)
MonsterQuest
South Park- Consistently entertaining writing.
Doctor Who- Great all around sci-fi show.
DeGrassi- kids show, but damn entertaining.
Doctor Who
Mythbusters
Lost (in spite of the crappy ending)
CSI Las Vegas
Corner Gas
Dexter
How It's Made
Iron Chef America
Gilmore Girls (first four or five seasons, anyway)
Smallville (prior to the departure of Lionel, Lex, Lana, Martha, etc.)

Gilmore Girls is a brilliantly done show. The final season could've ended better but I read there's talks of a reunion tv-movie. So if it happens, it should end it well.
Dexter
Corner Gas
Sopranos
Lost
Breaking Bad
Psych
Monk
Human Target
House
"The Wire" - all round best TV show I've seen in the last decade. Excellent.
"Deadliest Warrior" - Probably my most favourite programme that anyone ever thought would be a good idea. It's so damned ridiculous. But still great.
"Sons of Anarchy" - Made me want to be a biker.
"The Morgana Show" - Hilarious.
That and loadsa documentaries and that.
