Title: Things you can't buy anymore for some reason?
Post by: Trevor on February 04, 2011, 07:39:54 AM
I have a nearly new Canon 35mm film camera and no store in my city ~ or anywhere else for that matter ~ seems to sell 35mm film anymore.

Indeed, the world of digital has since forced out the days of film.  I used to work in a photo lab and I left the business right when digital was a twinkle in the film industry's eye. I'll never forget the first guy who came in with a memory card and I had no clue what it was.  He was rather PO'd we didn't have the technology to develop it.

Well, I guess you've just decided me on what I'll buy with my next pay cheque: a [sigh] digital camera.

Hey, there are worse fates in the world. :tongueout:

I honestly think I'm too young to have anything that I can't buy anymore.  Everything that I would buy 10 years ago, I can still get. :bluesad:

All that kind of stuff has to be non-toxic. Ecto-Plazm was probably made from guar gum or xanthan gum or something like that, with colour and a preservative. Might have to look that up.

I cannot get used to a tiny TV screen on the back of my camera.  I want to hold it against my head, where it's nice and steady.  Not hanging out in midair with nothing to provide solid support.   I've never taken so many blurry pictures in my life!  :hatred:

If you do find something thats past its time. Well, try to check if it has a use by date.
