I'm not sure where to start here.
BREEDERS is about some kinda alien monster that lives in the sewer and attacks virgin women to impregnate....aaand thats the whole plot.
But the women in this ultra low budget stinker dont seem to be the virgin type. They cant act either. The acting in this is almost as bad as that in BLOODFREAK. The special effects....eh. The monsters are goofy insect looking things with mylar ballon eyes. Lotsa blood. LOTS of nakked women! The best part is the ending,where a bunch of nekkid women are writhing around in a big mess of green slime.
No name actors. The director also did ROBOT HOLOCAUST (1986),BAD GIRL DORMITORY(1986),the OCCULTIST(1989) and some other junk. He started his carrer(?)directing gay porn in the 70's-and after 1989 went back to it. Just as well-because he sucked (no pun intended) at making straight films.
They even remade this thing in 1997!!!! :buggedout:

I've got the sequel on DVD, it wasn't too bad. Well, you know, it's got a 2.3/10 rating on the IMDb, but I thought it was okay :teddyr: Just a cheesy B-movie with a fair amount of eye candy.
Been meaning to check out the original eventually. Sounds like one of those where I can say "Well, I've seen worse." lol.
Breeders (1986) is a gem and one of a kind. The badness is fun, unintentional hilarious and never dull. Never seen the remake but I doubt it is anywhere near the awesome 80s cheese of the original.
I really like BREEDERS, I think it's an unsung sleaze classic!
Hmmm! Seems like you guys like it....I dunno-I was sober and watching it alone. Mebbe if I got drunk and watched it with someone else,Id have enjoyed it more.

I watched about two-thirds of it last night. Girl gets naked, girl gets attacked by monster, cut to hospital where doctor and detective act puzzled. Repeat that sequence about 5 times. Kind of comical, a swimsuit model with massive tan lines, and all the girls seem to have vague mustaches. And yeah, virgins...uh-huh. I'll have to finish it up tonight, don't want to miss the writhing in ooze part :teddyr:
Breeders was a hard slog for me. A woman gets naked, the camera leers at her for a while, then she's attacked by a monster. That's your whole movie. By the time we finally - finally - get to the climax, I was too burned out to even care about a monster with a toothed vagina for a mouth. Women writhing in goo has never done anything for me so I couldn't even enjoy that.

painfuly,horribly BAD this is just- meh? I dunno-bad. It's-as Akiratubo sez-repititious. I love BLOOD FREAK. I cherish my vhs copy. But this-I'ts a keeper for the collection-but I'll have to get me stepson over here and drink a 5th-then I'll re-review it. This is one of those "I gotta be silly drunk-because everythings funny" kinda movies,methinks.
For what it's worth, I love Blood Freak as well.
Did you know that there's an actual band named after the movie? And no, it's not just some coincidence by having their name being Blood Freak. They have songs about the movie, Hershell the turkey monster on some cover art, etc. They are from my town (Portland).
For what its worth, Blood Freak just about beats Poultrygeist as the greatest killer poultry film ever made (there's also Thankskilling >D).
