I recently discovered this garbage-piece of a gem! I found it through the Found Footage Fest website and ordered the VHS pronto. So, here I sit, many beers deep and giving this tape a 2nd viewing. This film simply baffles me and never lets my smile go away. Who else has seen this?
Here are some clips the FFF guys put online:

The glory of this film is not at all limited to those selected bits. <3 it.
that's so weird. why would they dub it?
I saw it when Found Footage Festival showed it last year at South by Southwest. You are correct - this movie is 100% Grade A, amazing wonderfulness. I don't own a copy yet, but it was a ton of fun watching it with a group of people. I catch the Found Footage show every time they come into town - they're always good for a fun night. Thanks for the clips!

My only guess is that the production sound was just that terrible. There are several points, mainly towards the end of the film, where they switch back to the live sound and it's really, really bad.
