Trevor, because he is one of the kindest people I think I've ever met.

And my buddy Cheezeflix, who sent me a free DVD of HITLER: THE RISE OF EVIL.

I can't think of anybody I WOULDN'T want to meet from this board. There are people that stand out for one reason or another, but I don't like to name them because I feel like I would leave somebody out or make somebody feel like I wouldn't want to meet them. I know that's not what was intended with the thread, just something I feel strongly about.

The only person on the board I have met in real life was Andrew. I was at B-Fest in 2002, I knew he attended, so I looked for the only military-looking guy in the room and said hello. It was very brief.
As for who I'd like to meet, I also couldn't pick just one, and I don't think I'll attempt a list, just in case I leave somebody out.
Geographically, Newt is the most convenient. But, in spite of having in-laws within half an hour of her, I still haven't managed to get over there.
As for an on-line get-together, I was experimenting with a pay-as-you-go streaming video service a while back, which seemed like a feasible way to watch a movie "together" if we used Skype to chat at the same time. Everybody who participates would need to chip in a buck or two per movie to cover the bandwidth. I never did get around to testing it, but if a few of you want to try it out, let me know.
Trevor, but geographically speaking, it's not like I'll be seeing him on a bus around Philly anytime soon.
AHD seems like he'd be a decent enough guy.
Jase and I would probably have some music and wrestling related things to discuss.
i'd like to meet pretty much everyone on the board. everyone has their own charms and my reasons for liking them. I'd really like for Killer Bees to teach me knitting; i think it's super cool and alas i can only crochet and badly at that.

I would have a hard time picking just one person to meet as well. If I had to bite the bullet and pick one I would say Trevor. He has a very kind nature, and isn't afraid to show affection for others.
Unlike Mark, who appears to be intent on sharing attention with everybody. In person, I'd be worried that Mark would touch me. As in

hi
I suppose Dogget would be the most likely person i could meet but if i had a choice i would love to meet RC.The guy loves Lugosi and i love Karloff so i should imagine we could have a cool chat and a cooler beer.
It's tough to name just one person but I'd love to meet many here...hard to name people because I'm afraid I'd leave someone out. Anyways it's be cool to meet up with:
RC - we have a lot in common actually in terms of taste in movies and music. I also love all of the art of his that I've seen.
Raffine - so knowledgable and also shares my love for old horror.
AHD- seems like he'd be a cool guy to chat with.
Darksider- a fun and funny guy seems like to me.
HappyGilmore, VenomX & Bob- we could probably go all day talking wrestling.. Actually me and VenomX could probaly discuss some kaiju too.
Doggett - seems pretty genuine and down to earth to me.
Newt, Killer Bees, Paquita, SisterGrace, Susan - the gals of the site who were always friendly and extra nice to everyone.
Trevor - seems like a sweet guy
AndyC- fellow Canadian, actually it would be cool to have some type of badmovies.org Canadian get together with Newt, SPazzo and whoever else.
JJ80- seems like a really good guy who also shares my love fo giant monsters.
Rev. Powell - he knows his movies.
Don't think it's real likely I'll meet anyone on here unless someone vacations down my way.
If I meet Menard all life as we know it would cease to exist. As a colossal war would engulf the earth as we try to destroy the other. Fire and brimstone would fall from the sky, 7 days of darkness, the earth would split, the sun would blink out, society would dissolve into chaos and all thing would cease to exist.
......I want to meet Menard.

You want to take a moment to examine that sentence? :tongueout:
You want to take a moment to stop and think before you accuse someone of a habit they've never engaged in based on good natured post with a simple typo?
The comment was made in jest, but if I offended you, I apologize.
You apologize for being offensive?
Does anyone know how to get hold of the real Menard to let him know his account's been hacked?
It was more a matter of being expedient; I didn't have much time, but I wanted to say something.
Expressions we make on here, at least I do, such as "speed kills", "what are you on", and similar such statements we take in the humor they were meant. It basically means "you're too much", "take it down a notch", or something like "that's unbelievable".
Despite that, if someone doesn't get it and was offended, they are owed an apology, pure and simple. It's not their fault for not getting it.
However, no accusation of anything was made, and that's a damn ridiculous assumption.
If someone has a chip on their shoulder and looking to prove something by poking the bad boy...they are making a big mistake. Several have tried that before, and it never turns out good...for them.
Not that I mind eating somebody alive, and I think we all know that; if someone doesn't, they haven't been paying attention.
I'm just trying to be civil. If I said something and somebody took it the wrong way and got offended, I owe them an apology.

Reminds me of the time I offended someone because I :bouncegiggle:'ed at their thread title "Am I the Only One Here Who Really Doesn't Like SNATCH?". . . meaning the Guy Ritchie movie, naturally.

Dude... it was a joke!
But it is a good reminder not to take things too seriously. We tease and rib each other around here, as friends often will when they're comfortable in each others' presence. Apologizing when there's a misunderstanding, even though you meant no malice, is a good thing.
such a difficult question. better to meet more members at a time

Not a problem. I thought (but was wrong) that you were inferring drugs when you said "speed kills." I originally thought you meant drugs, as per my post with the Ayleid language thing. That's just something I do for fun.
So, I apologize for my misgivings also. A round for everyone in the house
Allow me to explain the situation, if I may. A few years back, my cousin, (more like my brother in many aspects) died from a drug overdose: cocaine. I had to watch him go from a loving member of our family to a monster noone knew, in almost no time flat. And then there was the day they found him dead. I never forgot that, and I'm sure anyone in the same situation would forget either. Live and learn, right?
And Indy
still owes me my copy of ES 4:Skyrim for putting me up to the Ayleid language challenge :tongueout:
Oh, but Umaril, Skyrim is ES 5, NOT ES 4!
I'm not gonna spring for your copy if you can't keep your numbers straight!
You n'wah!!!!

And I call myself an an Elder Scrolls fan.... :buggedout:
I stand smitten with a Rod Of Iron, with a spleen waxed with Efferdent. I was tired when I was posting...anyhow, despite your unusual punishment, the fires of Oblivion have made my body harder and more resistant to such. Although I admit, that Efferdent burns a bit.

I'm not crazy about it being in Skyrim. Though I'm excited that it will be bringing back old Morrowind elements.

Indeed! There are way too many things that happened in Morrowind to let pass into the series' history w\o revisiting.
And, if there's ever an ES 6, how about
"Elder Scrolls 6: Children From The Sky"?You may remember the Ayleids were referred to as Welkynd, or "Sky Children", and that their magic came from the Welkynd stones and the meteoric ore known as Varla?
Let's say that the Ayleids did NOT die, but were only part of a force from one of Tamriel's moons. After learning of their brethrens' defeat, they spent millenia honing better magic, armor, and even baseline energy weapons.
Your character, after a series of dreams, is led to an ancient Ayleid city, where the survivors of the original band who were friendly to men still exist.
Knowing of the impending return of their brethren, they have developed their own set of armor, weapons and magic to stop the returning force. That's where you come in.
So many ideas in a series that still has so much to offer, as the Ayeids should be explored in more depth.
Anyhow, back to the topic
I think I would enjoy meeting AHD, just to see if he is as . . . interesting . . . in real life as he is on the net! :bouncegiggle:
