Just viewed MESA OF LOST WOMEN. Well, this film rates just below THE BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS and ROBOT MONSTER,
But note that the film is equally unwatchable to films like KING OF THE ZOMBIES and THE ROBOT vs THE AZTEC MUMMY.
Your right about the misplaced music throughout the film. It was unbearable. Also the scene were they search for the dead guy on the top of the wooded mesa. 5 of the plane crash crew walk through the woods for 5 minutes and discover him dead and walk back through the woods for another 5 minutes killing 10 minutes of this 70 minute film. The wasted walk footage almost equals that of SLAVE OF THE CANIBAL GOD'S jungle scene that takes you about 15 minutes of useless wandering through brush.
The crazy guy, the close ups of that hairy dude with the night background placed sporadically throughout the film, the dance at the bar, and the plane crash are the only parts that keep you awake while watching MESA OF LOST WOMEN.
