So yesterday was Record Store Day, which means independent record stores got a lot of cool exclusive items, mostly on vinyl. I picked up a vinyl reissue of John Fahey's Requia that's limited to 1000 copies. What I really wanted was Big Star's Third Test Pressing Edition:

I should've gone to the store early 'cause they said they only recieved 3 (I think 2000 were made total) and sold out quickly. And get this: there were 5 original test pressings inserted randomly in these and one of them made its way o the store I was at! I think they're autographed, too. UGH! I would've been happy to just have the regular one; it's already selling for over $100 on eBay.
Anyone else happen to hit the local record shops that day?
I did not, although I do appreciate me a good record store on occasion. There's just something about the smell of a record store, and the warm sound I'm going to get from that LP when I get it home that is very comforting.
