Not a huge favorite of mine but I've seen it many times. For me its one of those comfort food movies if you will that I watched a lot of as a kid. I find its a decent date movie and the comedy holds up. Tom Hanks and John Candy have awesome on screen comedic chemistry together.
I think this is a good film. I can watch pretty much anything with John Candy in over and over. He is one of my all time favorites.
Loved it as a kid, not as much these days. I'd always watch if it was on TV though. Good movie
I like this one too. A real charmer
Saw it at the Cinema when I was a kid. Fun, charming movie indeed. Haven't seen in ages though.
I have a friend who would list this as one of her top three movies of all time.
Mannequin would be in there as well.
I don't know what's wrong with her but she loves that very specific sub-genre.
QuoteMannequin would be in there as well.
Oh, my. Mannequin is extremely uncomfortable to watch.
Random Splash trivia: Did you know that before this movie there was almost no record of newborn girls being named "Madison"? In the years since this movie the name has exploded in popularity. Every time I hear some mom in the park turn around and call er little girl "Madison!" I want to go up to her and say "dude you're named after a mermaid.".

I actually used to weep at the end of Mannequin. But it was tears of joy at the utter 80sness of it all. It's great to watch with the chicks, the last time I watched it brings back very fond memories involving a hot italian girl, pizza and lots of shaving cream... :tongueout:
