I first discovered the awesomeness of Starbucks my final year of college when it was being sold on campus. I tried it then. Best coffee ever!
When I saw the topic I thought it was a joke! :buggedout:
Ugh, Starbucks...the McDonalds of Coffee. I can't stand them, they have parasitized some of the finest coffee establishments in the world by opening across the street from Localplaces I frequent.

Hmmmm . . . Starbucks . . . some sort of a profit deal here . . . lets take 12 cents worth of coffee, give it an exotic name, maybe throw in some caramel . . . hmmmm . . . profit . . . yeah . . . profit . . .
Its overpriced and I don't like the coffee. It tastes like burnt water.
Well, yeah, one thing the Starbucks era sadly destroyed was the independent coffee house. I used to love those places. You could actually go into one coffee house and get a completely different product and experience than from another one.

:bluesad: You reminded me of this one coffee house we had here that sold a Kenyan coffee that was very mellow and earthy lacked the bitter after taste you sometimes get with coffee. It was a very nice afternoon drink after work. :bluesad:
To each his own but I'm all set with their coffee. It made me awfully shaky the one time I had it.
I really don't drink coffee so I seldom go to Starbucks, but their ice chocolate mocha with chocolate bits is really good. So is their cinnamon taizo tea.

I've never had their tea.

Oops, I think it was called "chaizo". It's chai tea with milk and honey, I believe. I had one with cinnamon added. Hot, creamy, sweet goodness.
Me loves my Starbucks! We are spoiled for choice with coffee in this country and I like frequenting the local establishments as well as Starbucks. If I want regular coffee, I go to the locals but if I want something exotic or a frappucino, I go to Starbucks.
I usually buy their beans for home.
Starbucks is VERY expensive but I love me a cup of whatever Christmas flavors they got during the holidays while I'm out shopping.
