Watched the recent Nostalgia Critic video, where he did a top 11 on dumbasses in distress. It was pretty interesting, but it got me thinking. What are the most annoying damsels in distress in your point of view? What girls irrated you the most with the fact that the hero has to rest his life for these waste of space?
The most annoying damsel in distress that I ever saw was Princess Elise from Sonic 2006. She contributes almost nothing to the story, she is constantly being kidnapped (sometimes almost instantly after she has been saved), and she almost causes the end of the world. I'm surprised she didn't cause it sooner.
Here is NC's list in case you want to see what he put:

We could go on and on about number 1 I'm pretty sure. Oh, I think most of you might have something to say about number 9, especially if you dislike that movie.
Kate Capshaw in Temple Of Doom tops my list.
Sandra Bullock in Speed 2.
Sonya being captured at the end of the Mortal Kombat movie was pretty stupid. She's a powerful woman whose combat prowess equals out to any of the men's in both the film and the games, yet the villain in the film puts one arm behind her back and she's more f**king useless than Princess Peach.

Me too. All I wanted her to do was SHUT UP!

I thought the prissy little b***h trying to survive in an Indian jungle was absolutely hilarious. I loved to watch the pampered little whore scream.
Just watched it all the way through and I couldn't agree more with #1 choice. His commentary on her are items I've argued time and time again in the past with fan-tards of the series.
I'll never say "Twilight couldn't be that bad, could it?" Ever again. :teddyr:
Sweet Polly Purebread from the old UNDERDOG cartoons
My first choice is Lois Lane. What could Supes possibly see in her when he had all of Superhero Hot Babe-dom at his beck and call? Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Zatanna, the list is endless. It might be different if she had been portrayed as sexier, smarter and spunkier.
Let's not forget Daphne Zuniga in Space Balls.
Cathy Podewell in Night Of The Demons really grates on me. The amount of times she just walks round in the dark whining "Jaaaay!?" is ludicrous.
Barbara in Night of the Living Dead.
She just stands around mumbling and being annoying.
Kim Basinger in Batman
Julianne Moore in Hannibal
Dakota Fanning in War of The Worlds
Tanya Roberts in A View To A Kill
I like me some strong female characters in a movie ~ think Demi Moore in G I Jane ~ and I don't like wimps running around screaming when they can so easily fight back, like Jennifer Lopez in Enough.
Olive Oil from the Pop Eye cartoon

Yeah dude, why wasn't this one the list! She is a constant problem for Popeye plus she seems to actually flirts with Blutto at times. But the minute he tries to @ss rape her she cries for Popeye to come back.

Honestly Jack, unless you watch one or two of the films.......you will
never understand how awful it is.
