This was partly inspired by the "Old Ads" thread, when it turned to ads with unintended sexual meanings. Made me think of this realtor who works in the area where I used to live. Back when I worked on a real estate paper in the early 90s, we used to get a chuckle out of Gaye Males. It appears she's still selling real estate, and (not surprisingly) pictures such as this one are quite easy to find online. Somebody even made a motivational poster.

Hopefully that's her married name. If that's the name she grew up with, I can imagine guys in high school staying clear of her to avoid the inevitable ribbing about having a thing for Gaye Males. :teddyr:
So, let's come up with some ads, signs or other material with names that give us an unintended laugh.
For years the name "I.P. Rainwater" was in our local phone book.

As a kid, when we went to visit my mom's relatives, we passed through the small town of Erin, Ontario. The "Butcher Family Funeral Home" always made me laugh. I don't have a picture of the sign, but here's the website.

When I worked for a printer, we used to do some business with another printing operation run by a man named Harry Johnson. I always giggled when I had to email him.
And then there's the famouse Hogg family of Texas. Ima Hogg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ima_Hogg) was considered the "First Lady of Texas" and a great patron of the arts.
I still get a kick out of one former NASCAR driver's name: Dick Trickle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Trickle).
DICK POLE - Former major league baseball pitcher
Might as well add Dick Pound to the list.

I went to school with OK Doak.

I saw the name "Dick Everhard" somewhere....

There was a guy at my high school named Jack Golf
The US representative from Texas retired in 2003, but when someone challenges me I still say "you and what Dick Armey?"
I had a friend in college named Peter Bender. That's bad, but not as unfortunate as this poor guy, high school basketball star Peter Jurkin (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/98640/peter-jurkin).
I swear there was a boy in High School named Dang Ho.
One of my neighbors has a really amazingly hilarious name, but I'm afraid to type it here because I've googled him and found him and I'm afraid he's going to google himself and find me talking about him.
I went to school with a Richard Head and a Richard Cheese, who were both never called by their full names... :teddyr:
There's a guy where I work called Kok Chew
Justin Thyme.
When my sister was attending the university where she went, one of her favorite professors was a man named Dean. He was so highly thought of, both by her fellow students and the school adminstration, that there was some talk of promoting him to dean. Of course, his title would then be the unfortunate Dean Dean.
I went to high school with a guy named Richard Houlder (think about it for a moment).
I also had a regular customer when I was in retail named Richard Head. What's up with these horrible parents?
A teacher I had in high school told us about a former student of his named Pete Moss.

There's this kid called Jed I. Knight, no joke, at least I saw it on Failblog. :bouncegiggle:
Someone I know knew a person named Crystal Chandalier
Have we mentioned Fort Wayne's beloved four-time mayor, Harry Baals?

Met a guy today called Dick Fitter. :teddyr:
I met a guy named Rich Ascol today.
Thought of another one today. I remember a guy in high school, a particularly chubby kid who's surname just happened to be Biggar. Poor guy took a lot of teasing about that.

That's quite a popular surname where I live at the moment.

Very uncommon where I grew up. I don't recall more than the one family at that time.
