Never seen any of the Harry Potter movies. They just don't appeal to me. Never seen those Spy Kids and Lara Croft flicks either.
I do remember buying Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes DVD at a convention three weeks before street date. Made me feel special for ... three weeks :teddyr:
YAY! I like these flashbacks.
01. $317,575,550 - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (I enjoy the franchise, but more of the later ones)
02. $313,364,114 - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (I like it)
03. $267,665,011 - Shrek (myeh, so-so)
04. $255,873,250 - Monsters, Inc. (Pixar always makes a better feature than the competition)
05. $226,164,286 - Rush Hour 2 (didn't even bother)
06. $202,019,785 - The Mummy Returns (didn't watch because I'm not a fan of the franchise)
07. $198,542,554 - Pearl Harbor (Basically it's the Titanic formula, but with a slightly better outcome)
08. $183,417,150 - Ocean's Eleven (I enjoyed it but didn't think it was anything great)
09. $181,171,875 - Jurassic Park III (never saw it, don't want to)
10. $180,011,740 - Planet of the Apes (2001) (terrible)
11. $170,742,341 - A Beautiful Mind (not terribly accurate, but a good movie)
12. $165,092,268 - Hannibal (aside from a couple of creepy moments, nothing even close to Silence.
13. $145,103,595 - American Pie 2 (A few funny moments but not my bag)
14. $144,533,925 - The Fast and the Furious (not my bag but I'm not judging)
15. $131,168,070 - Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (never saw)
16. $112,952,899 - Dr. Dolittle 2 (NEVER SAW! GET IT AWAY FROM ME!)
17. $112,719,001 - Spy Kids (never saw)
18. $108,638,745 - Black Hawk Down (decent war movie)
19. $108,248,956 - The Princess Diaries (got an Anne Hathaway crush, but no, didn't see it)
20. $100,618,344 - Vanilla Sky (never saw)
I think I had just started dating my wife then because I remember seeing a few of these with her in the theater. The ones I'm sure of:
Shrek - loved this movie. I remember actually seeing it in the theater outside Universal Studios while on vacation in Florida with my wife.
American Pie 2 - I recall seeing with my wife with no knowledge of the first one. I remember really not liking it at all.
01. $317,575,550 - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Pretty good but, uh, the faculty of Hogwarts is pathetic. None of them can control a class, the kids come and go as they please, and the teachers don't bat an eye at putting little kids in mortal danger. I guess the wizarding world is Hard Core.
02. $313,364,114 - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Look! Special effects! And nothing else! Hollow, empty spectacle.
03. $267,665,011 - Shrek
Meh.
04. $255,873,250 - Monsters, Inc.
Pixar's best, and one of the best of all time.
05. $226,164,286 - Rush Hour 2
Never saw.
06. $202,019,785 - The Mummy Returns
Not as good as the first one.
07. $198,542,554 - Pearl Harbor
No.
08. $183,417,150 - Ocean's Eleven
Never saw.
09. $181,171,875 - Jurassic Park III
To be honest, my favorite Jurassic Park movie. Yes, I could do without the super-kid. Yes, Tea Leoni whines a lot. But this has the coolest dinosaurs and the best dinosaur action.
10. $180,011,740 - Planet of the Apes (2001)
Never saw.
11. $170,742,341 - A Beautiful Mind
???
12. $165,092,268 - Hannibal
The script was obviously intended to be filmed as a comedy but no one (except maybe Ray Liotta) realized it while they were making it. An utter bomb.
13. $145,103,595 - American Pie 2
Never saw -- wait! Yes I did. I watched it with a girlfriend, then we had sex. I remember the sex more than the movie.
14. $144,533,925 - The Fast and the Furious
Not bad, except for the stupid blond cop.
15. $131,168,070 - Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Middling adventure movie, but at least it meant well.
16. $112,952,899 - Dr. Dolittle 2
There was a second one?
17. $112,719,001 - Spy Kids
Never saw.
18. $108,638,745 - Black Hawk Down
Every now and then, Ridley Scott pulls it together. This was one of those times.
19. $108,248,956 - The Princess Diaries
???
20. $100,618,344 - Vanilla Sky
???
02. $313,364,114 - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - I hate this movie, as the last time I saw it all I really remember was a bunch of walking and that's it along with it lulling me to sleep....but I'm going to give this movie another chance soon
05. $226,164,286 - Rush Hour 2 - I liked this
06. $202,019,785 - The Mummy Returns - I liked this
08. $183,417,150 - Ocean's Eleven - one of my favorites :)
09. $181,171,875 - Jurassic Park III - one of the worst sequals ever
11. $170,742,341 - A Beautiful Mind - it's okay, very overrated IMO
12. $165,092,268 - Hannibal - meh....it didn't like this
13. $145,103,595 - American Pie 2 - I liked this
18. $108,638,745 - Black Hawk Down - I like this
the rest I never saw

Then you remember the movie 100% accurately.
I don't like any of these films at all.

Plus a lot of it was in slow motion.
