Title: Parsis (Persis) Khambatta
Post by: matt on April 19, 2002, 07:31:18 PM
What a SWEET piece of ass!  I'd drag my balls through ten miles of broken glass to kiss the ass of the dog that p**sed on the tires of the truck that drove her skivvies to the cleaners!  Where can I find naked pics of her?

*sigh*  I can't help but feel partly responsible for the above post, after the one I did about porn and b-movies.  In the future, let us never speak of it again for fear of attracting more of these kind of posts.  In simpler terms:

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO COME TO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PORN

Please, next time you fancy a wank, try a search engine instead.

I have to admit, I was sooo close to giving this guy a goatse link to click on.  And if you don't know who the goatse man is, do yourself a favor and stay ignorant, because for a you a long and happy life is still possible.

gosh, that "goatse" thingy sounds really scary.  was the implication that due to my reprehensible inquiry i may not live a long  life supposed to be some sort of threat or warning?  reminds me of a song..."mare seed oats and doe seed oats, and little lamb seed ivy..."  but that's not as frightful as "goatse" is it?

A threat?  Huh?  You got me all wrong there.  The only point I was trying to make is don't post here asking people for links to nude pictures of anybody, porn, or any other s**t like that.  We aren't gonna post that kind of stuff here, it's quite possible that there are children who come to this site.  Not saying you're reprehensible for wanting to see her naked, jst try looking on a search engine instead of coming to a site that doesn't really cater to that stuff at all as I'm sure Andrew wouldn't really appreciate it.  Just check out some of his e-mail replys to people asking him why he censored nudity out of his pictures.

And you can be sure, the goatse man is no friend of mine, he is in fact my sworn enemy.  What I was trying to say is anyone who's never seen that site is a much happier person for it.
Title: Died of a massive heart attack in 1989
Post by: The Foywonder on April 21, 2002, 11:27:34 PM
Apparently she was in a really bad car accident in 1980 & had to have heart bypass surgery a few years later. Wouldn't surprise me if that contributed to her death at age 49.

Agreed that solicitation of nude pictures is innappropriate on this board. However, Ms. Khambatta might be an interesting topic to discuss, particularly as someone who got her big break and then messed it up later because she believed all the hype about her and assumed she'd achieved stardom because of one lucky role. A pity, really, but because she tured down a lot of decent parts right after Star Trek, we were able to enjoy her in Megaforce, Warrior of the Lost World, Phoenix the Warrior and other entertaining crap. If she'd understood her own limitations as an actress, we might only have seen her in small "window dressing" roles in good movies. Maybe, through working with good actors and directors, she might even have developed some skill as an actress, but that's debatable.

One question though, do Matt's original comments refer to Persis with hair or Persis bald?

Question: would an actror (or actress) rather play a small role in a big movie or a big role  in a small movie?

Persis was one of the 'stars' of Megaforce, Warrior Of The Lost World, and Pheonix The Warrior.  Would an actress prefer that to being screen dressing in a larger movie?

As a side note, at least in the four movies mentioned here, she managed to keep her clothers on...no small feet for an attractive actress in b movies

I'd say it's probably better, in the long run, to begin with small roles in big pictures. You work with top stars and good directors, and have an opportunity to learn and make contacts. Overall, I'd say a successful bit player is seen by a lot more people than someone who stars in an occasional B-Movie. In fact, they'd be more likely to get starring roles in small movies with a good resume and the exposure they'd get from a lot of little roles. I don't think it's a matter of choosing one or the other. An actor can do small roles in major motion pictures and star in B-movies as well. However, if your ambitions are a little higher, I think your chances of securing a larger role in a larger picture would be better if you've been willing to take the smaller parts and become known to the people who make those pictures. In Persis' case, I believe she had decided to exclude the little parts and basically limited herself to being a B-movie actress.

The other thing to consider is that someone can suck as a star, but be just right in a supporting role. Look at some of the actors who came out of Saturday Night Live. The ones who get their own movies are usually terrible. The ones who play comic relief opposite a better leading actor are pretty good.

Hope all of this makes sense.
