I have never heard of this until today. From wikipedia:
QuoteThe lying down game (also known as planking, or face downs) is an activity for men and lesbians, popular in Asia and Australia, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved.

Incredibly stupid but also kind of funny. What do you think?
I think I've just found a new hobby. :teddyr:
This would be far more interesting if the rules also said you had to be naked.
That old lady is a lesbian?

Be sure to post up some pics. :bouncegiggle: :twirl: :bouncegiggle:
Hmmmmm....many options, so little time....
This has caused a stir here because of all the death. Yup, people are dying from extreme planking! Be warned! I'm sure planking while drunk on a balcony of a high rise apartment is a genius move...
What's funny, in a sad way, is the lady who died while defending planking and gave a demonstration on safe planking.
My question though is why men and lesbians only? Seems my straight friends who have done it mustn't have got the memo or have something they want to tell me...
So anyone going to post any photos?
Looks like a ton of fun to me :bouncegiggle:

Not the first time I'm sure. :bouncegiggle:
I guess it depends on whether you identify as a man or not, since men of all ilk are allowed. Maybe because we love long hard rigid things.

Huh!?
It says it's "an activity for men and lesbians", so I assumed they were working in teams :teddyr:
At my ripe old age it would be hard to out of the planking position especially if it were in an odd area such as the ones listed.
Its all gotten too commercial, its not about the laying around anymore.

Maybe I should do it on my roof..... :teddyr:

A little Darwinism is not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm sure there's a joke about them just doing extreme planking in a grave, but I fear it's too inappropriate.
Anyways, this has so far been my favourite. The photo is slightly NSFW though the link is to a news site.

I'd be leary of planking in the nude. Especially around things made of wood. Splinters would suck.
