looking for movies that take place on a cruise ships or on a tropical island for most of the movie .. can anyone help :)
Octopus
The Poseiden Adventure
Titanic
Juggernaught
Attack of the Crab Monsters
Son of Godzilla
Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster
Yog: Monster from Space
Dinosaurus!
Arachnid
Jurassic Park and sequels
A.I. Assault
The Killer Shrews could work for Tropical island. Its implied its a Island, but it looks like its a typical woodland area. But it is a island nonetheless
I actually haven't seen it, but I think Zombi (or Zombi 2 whatever) takes place on a island.
Chupacabra Terror - entirely on a cruise ship. Fairly run of the mill low budget monster movie, but I thought it had a special charm to it.
Virus - Alien robots vs. Jamie Lee Curtis on a cruise ship (well, a Russian research ship actually). Good times!
Deep Rising - sea monsters vs. Treat Williams and Famke Janssen on a cruise ship.
Pinata Survival Island (aka Demon Island) - cheesy and fun "monster" movie on a tropical island.
The Curse of the Komodo - giant CGI Komodo's chase people around a tropical island.
The Blue Lagoon - Brooke Shields and some guy on an island.
Voyage Of Terror: The Achille Lauro Affair (1990)
the last film to star Rebecca Schaeffer before she was murdered by Robert Bardo, and released posthumously
why is this a poll by the way, have I missed something?
The Deep
Castaway
The Sex Boat (does Golden Age porn count?)
Broken Lizard's Club Dread
Quotewhy is this a poll by the way, have I missed something?
I wondered the same thing. Oh well, I voted Tropical Island because I've had a yearning for a St. Thomas getaway for months.
Zombi 2 a.k.a. Zombie (1979) - Fulci's flesh eating masterpiece. Tropical island.
The Forgotten Ones (2009) - Creature Feature. Tropical Island.
Hammerhead (2005) - DNA-Terror. Tropical Island.
Attack of the Sabretooth (2005) - Prehistoric Terror. Tropical Island.
Antropophagus (1980) - Grim, gory and cheesy. Greek Island.
The Wind (1987) - Mystery-Suspense Thriller. Greek Island.
Rogue (2007) - Crocodile-Terror. Small dirt Island in Australia.
The Slayer (1982) - Atmospheric monster/slasher. Isolated island.
Whodunit (1982) - Cheesy and very low budget slasher. Isolated island.
Humongous (1982) - Cult fave. Isolated Island.

Looking at the links, they are for "youtu.be" vice youtube.com. Was that intentional?

It is, they're trying to shorten their links to make them easier to share. (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBAMDPLo70o (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBAMDPLo70o) vs http://youtu.be/oBAMDPLo70o (http://youtu.be/oBAMDPLo70o) ) But then embedding them when they're in
Youtu.be form instead of
Youtube.com form doesn't work.
And back on topic, I don't know if it counts, but the TV show Lost comes to mind. Also Castaway, Nim's Island, and Pirate's of the Caribbean come to mind...
Ghost Ship
Island Of Death
Who Could Kill A Child?

Yeah I noticed that too - it you click on "share" and copy the address given there, it doesn't work. Have to right click on the video and choose "copy video URL" from there.

The Island of Dr. Moreau - both the 1977 movie and the 1997 remake. Most people seem to dislike the 1997 version, but it sure has some authentic tropical island scenery my opinion.
The Horrors Of Spider Island :teddyr: Pure cheese.
The Flesh Eaters (1964) - That's a tropical island I guess.
Blood Surf (2000) aka Krocodylus. Tropical island complete with pirates!
The Curse of the Komodo (2004) - guess it was filmed on Kaua'i, Hawaii.
There's all of those Eddie Romero 'Blood Island' Filipino movies.
BEAST OF BLOOD aka TERROR IS A MAN
BRIDES OF BLOOD
MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND
BEAST OF BLOOD
BRAIN OF BLOOD (actually made in Hollywood, USA by Al Adamson for Romero but in spirit it's a Blood Island movie)
BEAST OF THE YELLOW NIGHT
THE TWILIGHT PEOPLE
Wild Women of Wongo!

Shock Waves (1977) - Nazi Zombies + Tropical Island
Going Overboard

SON OF KONG (1933) A baby monkey!
I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE (1943) Val Lewton's tropical version of Jane Eyre.
ISLE OF THE DEAD (1945) Underrated Karloff/Lewton about plague and - just maybe - vampires on a Greek isle.
FROM HELL IT CAME (1957) Everybody's favorite Tabonga the Killer Tree Monster. As one critic put it: To Hell It Can Go!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiP6W0ZCQRg
MOTHRA (1961) The first screen appearance of Japan's self-sacrificing giant moth. "Mosura ya! Mosura!"
MATANGO AKA ATTACK OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE (1963) A group of island castaways feast on native mushrooms and turn into walking, chirping, giggling mushrooms. Really.

ISLAND OF TERROR (1966) Peter Cushing vs Killer Mutant Turtles!

Brother everybody went for the Horror movies but not the cornball romances, some of which are really enjoyable:
ONE WAY PASSAGE (1932) CAROL BURNETT infamously spoofed this movie in her 1970s TV show...

It's all CRUISE SHIP ROMANCE and impending DOOM.. Great early movie with WILLIAM POWELL!!!
There's also this warhorse, which is horrible and absurd, but I really like it:

For a movie with that title, it is surprisingly dull.

You might be thinking about Bloodtide, with James Earl Jones, Jose Ferrer and Martin Kove. Yeah it was horrible, and even worse, amazingly boring.

He might have been in pain; both Laurel and Hardy had to take sick leave during the filming. Still, it's not bad, and there are some good bits, like Stan's duel with the life boat.
Spiders 2 - shipwrecked couple trapped on a cargo ship with a mad scientist and a lot of spiders.
Godzilla '98- Manhattan is an island. :bouncegiggle:
