Title: Videodrome
Post by: BlueLady on April 20, 2002, 08:51:11 PM
Has anyone else seen this movie?  Or am I the only one?  This movie is the god of all bad movies.  I am surprised it has not been reviewed here yet.  Can anyone tell me who plays the lead in it?  Am I a imagining things or is it James Woods?  I wish I could find it online but I have had no luck as of yet.  Can anyone tell me where I can find a copy of it.

Yup, that's James Woods.

I wouldn't say it's the god of all bad movies (it's actually quite intelligent), but I enjoyed it quite a bit.  That David Cronenberg is quite the character.  And to think, today that function would be performed by the internet.  What an age we live in.

Can't find a copy, though?  It's easily available on VHS or DVD.  Or are you looking for a downloadable copy?  I can't help you there.

It is James Woods.  All the information you can want and more can be found at the IMdB.  Check http://us.imdb.com/Title?0086541.  Also, Amazon.com is selling both DVD and VHS of the flick.  Hope that helps

I must add that there is no way in hell that Videodrome is the god of all bad movies.  It's too good for that (I admit to being a fan of it.)  Try watching "R.O.T.O.R" or "Dracula v. Frankenstein" and compare them to "Videodrome" and you'll see what I mean.

Bah.
Videodrome is a good movie, and in no way should be classified as bad.  Now it should be on this site because it's weird like Delicatessen, but isn't bad.  "Bad" would describe something agonizing to watch like "Drop Dead Fred" or "Dude Where's my Car".  Maybe "campy" would be a better word for the "good" bad movies reviewed on here (examples: Braindead (Dead Alive), Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness).  That's just MY opinion, though.

doubt you're the only one considering it's one of cronbergs better known movies and we've all heard of him, haven't we?
