I'm just kind of curious to see what some of your responses would be to this question. We've all seen bad stop-motion animation, or we wouldn't be here, would we? I can think of Equinox as a pretty good example of cheesy low-budget stop-motion (but oh how I love that b-masterpiece). However, I know there has to be better examples of bad animation (oxymoron there).
So, let's hear you vote for worst stop-motion/claymation animation, and your rationale if there is one. Please keep this only to movies. No television shows or shorts.
Over-Sexed Rug suckers from Mars. The aliens where incredilby amaturish. Sub-sub-sub Gumby level.
For a more proffesional release-Jack the Giant Killer (going to see the rifftrax event). The design of the monsters was not that good-but given that its for a more kid friendly movie, it passes. I don't really remember them being well done and the flying dragon had some jerky motions and didn't really have the same life as one of Harryhausen's creatures.

You bring up a point to consider. Sometimes the claymation is unforgiveable given the nature of the release, the implied quality, etc., even though it may not be the worst stop-motion ever. There's a rationale right there. Thanks.

I'm somewhat hesitant to bring this one up, but Beast from Hollow Mountain
I had to re-watch the sequence to make a decision, but there are a few reasons I'd mention it here.
The biggest reason is that the stop motion dinosaur is almost pointless. Its both maguffin and deus-ex-machina to the story. Only appearing in the last 10-15 minutes and before only metioned as stealling some cattle. But it could be removed from the story and nothing major would change that much.
From a more techinal stand point, its not really all that bad. There are few sequnces that could have been more fluid, and even one where it seemed the perspective was somewhat off between the T-Rex and the rear projected film.
The other major problem is why the dinosaur was constantly flicking its tongue in and out. Granted knowledge of dinosaurs has increased since this movie came out, but it was some unintentional humor to what I'm guessing was supposed to be a scary part of the film.
There's much worse examples out there, but I thought I'd bring it up.

"Basket Case" is pretty bad. I mean your watching this weird, scary movie and all of a sudden your laughing at this creature that is moving so unrealisticly. I realize it was 1982 (probably made in 80 or 81) and that was probably the best they could do given the low budget of the film. Still it shouldn't take anything away from this otherwise creative film.

That's one of those I've never seen. However, the first things I'm thinking is, why in the hell would anybody use stop-motion animation to portray water bursting from a blown dam? It just seems there would be other low-budget options that would work better.

I've never seen that bit, but it doses sound like an odd choice. Harryhausen, O'Brien, et al, whenever they needed 'water' would film it at super high speed and superimpose it on the animated scene. I don't think they evertried to animate water.
Can't recall if it was cell or stop motion, but the blood in the elevator in EARTHQUAKE! (1974).

It's certainly goofy but it's not stop-motion, just a plain old puppet on a string.
I love
Robocop but the stop-motion guy falling through the window at the end was pretty bad looking, and his super-long arms crack me up!
Probably the extremely jarring claymation shot of Godzilla kicking King Kong down the cliff in King Kong vs. Godzilla. It lasts maybe one second at most, yet is so jarring and so bad it will probably be the thing you remember most clearly about the whole film. As I understand, Eiji Tsuburaya was commanded to use stop motion by the Toho bosses but was not given enough time nor money to do the work. So, he produced a couple of horrible claymation shots (which remained in the movie against his protests), thus horrifying Toho into allowing him to use men in suits, as he wanted.
