I really think so. They didn't spend tons of time making is photo-realistic. They didn't spend lots of time making it physically accurate. They just made it fun and entertaining.
I've been meaning to pick that game up forever. Just too darned many other games always coming out. Maybe next year :teddyr: A buddy of mine keeps bugging me to get it so we can play some online co-op.
I see they're coming out with a sequel now too.
I've got Rage pre-ordered for October, which looks like a cross between Borderlands and Fallout 3.
I've played it a lot and it never gets dull. It was just on sale on steam for %75 off. If you do get it, I'd strongly suggest the General Knoxx and Claptrap Roboloution addons. The Zombie island addon is OK also, but the Gen. Knoxx addon adds quite a bit of content, plus a way one can get tons of weapons.
Yeah its fun, but as I had just come off the back of Fallout and Fallout New Vegas, I was a bit burnt out on the post apocalyptic first person shooter.

My friend, I totally agree! I've been playing the Special Edition (with all the extra mods) for about a week now, and while it gets tougher, I enjoy the unique cel-shading and the amount of monsters\bandits to kill. You especially echo my thoughts on how the game is NOT overly cel-shaded (like XIII or Killer Seven) but it IS done just enough to make a visally stunning. This is a unique game any way you look at or play it.
I'm happy to see fans of Borderlands. Waiting on the sequel, though still play the first from time to time. I would have only really asked that with each completion of the game a few extra side quests were added so there was still something you hadn't done.
it is one of the most enjoyable co-op experiences you will ever play. Great game, i did both playthrough's and did every mission. definitely in my top 5 all time.
Crawmerax + Co-op = wealth and power

Do you know how to farm the armory? As in, get in without the bomb timer going so you have all the time you need to open each and every chest?

Yeah but I just mod shield and have fun blowing him away. It works well enough.
This looks nifty... What are y'all playing on? All XBox?

Me, I have both PS3 and Xbox 360 version but only all add ons for 360. General Knox only on PS3.
