Duke Nukem Forever's downloadable content finally came out and I got it for $9.99. I should have read the description more closely because there is no new single-player content, only some new multiplayer modes. Online multiplayer sucks so I just flushed $10 down the drain.
I have to wonder what all those recently added achievements specifically for the "DLC campaign" are for, unless the new multiplayer modes count as a "campaign".
I ALWAYS feel lik an idiot. But for entirely different reasons. :bluesad:
I rarely buy DLC. I think Dragon Age Origins was the last straw, I paid about $15 for a couple of DLC's that I finished in a couple of hours. And they were lame. I got the DLC for Red Faction Guerrilla, a game I really loved, but it was just some tacked on junk. Even the Undead Nightmare DLC for Red Dead Redemption, which I played on Halloween night, left me bored after an hour or so.
The only really good DLC I ever bought was the Broken Steel pack for Fallout 3. I played that for a whole week. It was a great climax to the game, had plenty of main quests and sidequests, and was sufficiently different from the main game to keep it interesting. I really should buy the rest of the DLC's for that game one of these days.

Do what I do: wait until the game has been out a year or two and buy the "game of the year" edition with all the DLC already included. I would never buy a game until you guys have beta-tested it for me and it's all patched up anyway.
Most of the DLC for Borderlands is great, Mad Moxies Underdome is the only one that is debatable.
That said, I feel like an idiot for spending the money on Dead Island. That game SUCKS, I should have waited for Rage.
I rarely feel like an idiot.
Now looking and sounding like one? All the time.
Tasting and smelling like one is still debatable.

I'll agree with that sentiment. I was kind of excited about trying it out but it really didn't seem too great in the long run the weapon drops aren't especially useful. However, I do like the storage bank for keeping little extras. I also liked joining a friend with a level 1 character and they were 30, it skyrocketed my levels pretty fast.
