My wife and I like to go out to a nice restaurant, spend a bit of time at the bar and then have dinner. Or a night at home with pizza and a movie is great too.
I stay in a lot...I'm actually quite cool with that.
Hard to beat a good dinner and a good movie!

I'm inclinded to agree
Involves me, Joan Collins in silky lingerie and we won't go out anywhere. ;)
Dinner and a movie ... a small local movie theater in our town offers "family and friends night on Tuesdays". It's dinner and a movie for $10 a person. :teddyr:
A nice dinner and a movie works for me.
Option 1 and 2...sadly, the budget really doesn't allow for it that much.
Home for me. Watch a movie...if I got enuff money to order pizza-a plus.
I'm all for a nice dinner, though it doesn't have to be super-fancy.
Other than that I enjoy staying home.
I picked music and comedy clubs.
I don't go to many concerts. I like them and I love music, but I just don't go that often. I do go to a lot of comedy shows, because I love stand-up comedy. I'm a complete comedy nerd.
But more importantly I love laughter more, I think it is one of the few pure things in this world. And here's a secret, if you have good friends, you don't need much more than a night out with them and some activity. Almost any activity will do. If you're with people you like, laughter will follow.
Any night out is a good night if you're with people you like. Bowling, comedy clubs, a late night at the IHOP... Surround yourself with smart, funny people and the good times will follow.
Music! Music! Music! Pubs, theatres and arenas! I just adore the concert experience, especially when I actually get to see artists/bands I really enjoy. I could do it every night...
Seems like a good time to close this. The results are interesting, and I'll admit some getting more or less votes then I expected.
Any night you can't remember, can't find your car keys (or your car) in the morning, have a wound and you can't remember how you got it, and have a phone number on a napkin in your pocket is a good night out.
I'm not fond of going to many restaurants. I've worked in some over the years, and after seeing the kitchens of many, it's turned me off to it. I do go to a few, now and then, but usually if someone else is paying and I get from a small variety of foods (fries, chicken, etc.)
For a long time a good night out for me was a pack of about 15-20 friends going to bars and such. There's not much to do around this area except bars. We're all still good friends, but I'm not particularly fond of overpriced alcohol. Or people I don't know, especially when they're drunk. In fact, it's why I started taking some anxiety medicine.
Lately, I've taken to going down to South Philly and Center City and hitting some comedy clubs. We've gotten some top names over the past few years coming in. The one club I go to is relatively small, the size of a basement, so you have the comic essentially standing on your table.
I did some concerts last year but had some negative times at some of them. I did enjoy the Weird Al concert and Dave Matthews concert from last summer though.
