An odd question, but I've sat through neither. I always get the two films confused with each other, and even sometimes forget their completely different movies.
Is one 'better' than the other? Just curious is all.
I thought Mosquito was a totally run-of-the-mill direct to video movie. It took the standard formula and just didn't do much of anything with it.
Skeeter on the other hand I liked quite a bit. It had a sense of humor to it, the characters were much more interesting, and it was a lot more fun.
Jack got it all wrong again
Mosquito is class A cheese and a blast to watch, Skeeter had its moments but otherwise: dull.
There you have it Kasey - glad we could get that all straightened out for you :bouncegiggle:
Well, since I don't have a life, I suppose I could waste 3-4 hours of my life watching both...
Toxic waste causes the bugs to grow huge in Skeeter I think (Plot Device #14 for Gigantic Size Creature Creation) and the bugs suck down on some dead aliens in Mosquito (points for originality! Never saw that before used).
One of them has Gunnar 'Leatherface' Hansen as a chainsaw-wielding bank robber and the other one does not.
I forget which is which, though.
Mosquito has Gunnar in it. I searched for years to find a dvd copy of Mosquito that I could afford. It was absolutely worth it. I guess I have to watch Skeeter now so I can compare.
